You can still do this with Fords? I was doing this with my 78 pinto YEARS ago. But all I needed was a coat hanger. I got to the point that I could unlock the door faster with the coat hanger then I could pulling the keys out of my pocket and using them....LOL.
ff621 thank you I tryed making this tool from what I could get a hold of, to no avail, then saw your door handle comment and had in in about 3 mins. Thanks ur a lifesaver
it's easier with the antenna, you stick it thru one of the holes under the handle and pop it right up. no need for all these fancy tools. thats why my antenna was always hand tight in case i needed it for this.
I have a 2000 Ranger XLT and I locked my keys in the car this morning. I made a tool identical to the one you use in this video and I got my car unlocked in literally less the 10 seconds. I am going to keep a coat hanger under my bed liner for emergencies. Thank you very much for helping me today!
I dont. Never worked as a lock out person or a locksmith. I wish I could but I have a felony on my record. I have to wait about 2 more years to attempt to get my record expunged before Oregon will allow me to work as a lock out specialiest or locksmith. only a hobby for now
Very nice, and very quick. Seeing your skills through different videos, do you work and do lockouts and stuff? Helping the old lady down at the local store who locked her keys in her car.
Thanks guys. I appreciate it. It was super EZ. But lets not forget this is a 98 pickup.. 18 years old.. Most newer cars cant be bypassed like this.. but there are a lot of older autos still on the rd.. so its nice to know how to do it..
old autos get the keys locked in the car just like new autos do..
there isnt even a word to explain how much i love you right now.

@ff621 I've done the antenna bypass trick on my '94 and my girlfriend's '98, no problem.

Can you open that Ranger with the antenna?

How did you open the car with this?By contacting the base of the button head or bt gripping the vertical rod with the hook?
PS:What is that red stuff on the tool?

No its not the same tool as the long reach tool. this is a tool designed to work inside the door. grabing linkage rods and such.
