Maybe I missed something but how do you get lots of long-ish layers on top? I don't want bangs at all so would I do this step only not cut it short, and would I do the part/sections all along the top?

I actually used your technique! I love my bangs. I have been soooo scared to go to a salon. I keep thinking they are going to cut them to short!! I have never been to satisfied!
