Came back from digging found 3 1840 to 1860 bottles pumped to go on my next dig keep going guys!

Keep looking, you will find a real hot spot if  you stay at it,

not to crash your hopes,, but most of those bottles didnt look 50 years old. i suppose if you went in a distance under that pier , you might get some good bottles 1900ish or so. GOOD FIND ON THE BSA TIE HOLDER SLIPRING!

@ricglos Yeah, I know most of those weren't that old. I like collecting them though. I have found a few older bottles there before, a couple from the 1800's.

@ricglos 50 years old is 1962 - that seems about right - - 50 years isn't as old as it used to be...

No, the beach isn't polluted, it is a beach open to the public, but people don't go on it because its so muddy and rocky. Thanks for being concerned. HH!

why do you look for bottles are they worth any thing ?

I look for bottles because it is really fun and some of them can be very valuable. They also look good as decorations around the house.

found the same neck slide two days ago at a old boy scout camp detecting. Looks like the beach is dangerous walking around barefeet. Any way cool vid!

Thanks! I was surprised when I found it lying right on top! You would be crazy to go barefoot at this place! There is so much broken glass, barnacles, and razor clams.

No way, I make sure to be wearing sandals when I am there! There is so much glass and barnacles, and even razor clams! I have to remember to use the rake to pick up broken bottles because I always end up with a cut on my hand!

Thanks! That place is in the harbor, so there isn't as much wave action as there is on a regular beach, so I don't find any good sea glass. Everything there is sharp. I find a lot of it on the beach where I made a detecting video. Found a red piece a couple of years ago!
