  • Could I use newspaper?

  • Do you put mod podge under the pieces as well? Or a different kind of glue or do you only use the mod podge as a seal and not put anything under the paper?

  • Would tacky glue work?

  • @MayakUuu nope sorry only a varnish will

  • Ferb, I know what we are gonna do today ! :D

  • cool idea but, as a comic collector this video killed me lol

  • @apocolypsenow220 lol, I definitely didn't use anything rare!

  • I made a pair of these, but the first time I wore them they ripped all along where my foot bends when walking (They're pretty much ruined on the sides, although the heels and toes held up well). I let them dry for almost a week between my last coat of Mod Podge and the first time I wore them. Any suggestions on making it do they don't crack/rip? More or less glue? Different type of Mod Podge? Thanks!

  • It's a pretty cool idea- but as a comic book collector- I would use a comic book that doesn't have a lot of value or is a duplicate because it would be a shame to use a valuable comic for that.

  • @MsMaysWorld i just scanned and printed

  • @w0nd100 That's cool, I think I'm gonna try it, not sure where to get Mod Podge though.

  • @MsMaysWorld i successfully completed mine today. I am scared to wear them though. I bought some clear varnish to paint over top to water proof it some more and some clear shoe repair cement to paint over the edges with so they don't curl .

  • What Would Work For Modge Podge?

  • Does that work on vans. And if socan u make a video

  • Do Vans work ?

  • OMG you r so hot

  • I dont have mod podge in my country but we have something like elmers glue, i was just wondering if i could use it instead?

  • @Jocelyn711 elmer's glue isn't the same, mod podge is more like nail polish, it dries clear and hard and it becomes waterproof

  • I'm not a hater but I got those flats for four dollars at Walmart

  • omg I totally going to make mine out of seventeen fashion magazines!!!

    Thanks for the idea!

  • I lov ur nail polish -.- its soooo cute -3

    I ALSO LOV BATMAN!

  • If I decide not to use the steel wool and nail buffer, will it be okay? Also...can I wear it in the rain or cold weather?

  • @shennie87 yes you don't need to use the steel wool or nail buffer, and if you apply enough coats of mod podge you can wear it in the rain.. but don't purposely walk in puddles

  • Where do u get the steel wool from? And also do u use the wool when the glue is dry or wet??? Will gorilla glue work? Thank u! :) ur amazzing!!

  • @roseheart56 actually, the steel wool is really unecessary. but you can get it from any hardware dept or walmart :) but no gorilla glue won't work, you need to use a varnish

  • @jasmineCee1 yes you can

  • Can I do this with reg paper like from a book

  • omg, this tutorial is so amazing! I LOVE it!! How well do these hold up? Can you go out in the rain with them or will it ruin them? Also, if you accidentally scuff up the shoes will the print tear up or will it just scratch up the mod poge? Thanks for the video!

  • @TWrecksification mod podge makes it water proof so its fine for the rain, but don't go too crazy in the rain with them just in case

  • @MissTiffanyMA

can you just use white glue in stead of mod podge

  • This is a really good idea, and I made my shoes!!!! Xcept will they get ruined in the rain?

  • Mod Poge is a kind of glue?

  • What happens if i dont use the Steel Wool and just the buffer would it still have the same effect (Look the same) without the steel wool??:] Thankyou :)

  • @lillys9492 to be honest it turns out looking the same, the steel wool is just to make it smoother
