How to create a VPN connection to unlock Xbox Live Region Locked Downloads

I am a bit confused here, I connect through a wireless router. And i followed the steps carefully but i don't understand how am i suppose to make the Xbox connect using that as its also connected to the internet through the wireless router, any help?

@palisours The VPN connection is like a fake IP address connection. It changes your IP address to somewhere that the Xbox download isn't locked. Your supposed to connect to your wireless router (wirelessely through your laptop/pc). Then connect your xbox and pc together using the ethernet cable (wired). Then connect to your vpn conne. and wait until its done. Finally, turn on your xbox and sign into xbox live. If your stuck on anything, be sure to be specific and clear while explaining it to me.

@WillowierRatX21 Thanks for your reply. I was able to sort it out. Turns out i didn't see the instruction about connecting LAN cable between Xbox and PC. Now i have another problem: I am trying to buy NFS Undercover from games marketplace but it still gives me same message of region unlocked despite using the VPN. I tried to download other game"Mafia 2" and it worked, but for NFS undercover its says the same, any help?

@palisours Your account should be a USA account. I'm not sure on how your supposed to change it. But you might have to make a new account. You could try searching for another vpn proxy site and try to see if it works. Otherwise, I can't help anymore than this. Good Luck :D

@odej1 If the network is unidentified, the internet probably wont work. Try all of these steps:

Trun off windows firewall.

Try making another vpn connection by starting from step 1 in the tutorial.

Try disconnecting then reconnecting to your vpn connection and internet.

Make sure your account is USA.

@odej1 You need to set-up an 'American' Windows Live account with an American phone number and address. Once you've done that you need to set-up an Xbox Live account with that Windows Live Id... you'll be asked what member type you want to be: Silver or Gold, pick Silver and then they'll give you one month of Xbox Live Gold for free. Then you go buy whatever you need that's exclusive to that 'region'.

@joshy1234561 Its perfectly fine, don't worry. You can't get banned and microsoft can't find out if you're using a vpn or not. All a vpn does is change your ip address to make it look like you live in somewhere else, like the U.S. :D

Try this: 1) Sign out 2) Turn off your xbox 3) Remove your hard drive 4) Turn on your xbox without the hard drive 5) Start the game 6) Exit the game and turn off your xbox 5) Insert your hard drive and turn on your xbox 6) Sign in and start the game 7) Wait a while at the start menu of the game 8) Try again Good luck, hope I helped :)

@moaazelmassry After starting the download do this: 1) Turn off your xbox to stop the download 2) Sign out of the vpn connection on your pc 3) Unplug the ethernet cable from your xbox 4) Turn on your xbox and connect to your normal internet connection 5) Sign into xbox live and start the download 6) Wait for it to download to 97% 7) When its 97%, turn off your xbox 8) Sign into the vpn on your laptop 9) Connect the ethernet cable to your xbox, turn on your xbox, start the download 10) Enjoy :D

I'm using a straight through cable (normal ethernet cable) which is used to connect a computer other device to a network hub, network switch, and network routers (I explained it for others who are reading this comment). Btw, I never saw anyone use a crossover before to do this. Good Luck :D

- Use a different VPN site if you can find one

- Make sure you are signed into the vpn connection through you made

- Make sure the wire plugged into your xbox and computer is connected

- Make sure the VPN connection is set to share with your xbox connection

- Make sure your account is USA

- Make sure you are registered to the VPN site and try again

- Try signing into the vpn connection first, then turn on your xbox and try again

Try connecting your xbox to your laptop through the ethernet port then turn on your xbox (of course the laptop is turned on)....wait untill your laptop/pc configures the xbox connection. If it does configure and connect to to your pc, continue watching the rest of the tutorial :)

@ElToomii right click on your local area connection (xbox) in adapter settings and go on properties->"sharing" tab->and tick the first box you see (this might fix the identifying problem your having). If this doesn't work, do the same to your wireless network...good luck :)

@Alexanderzx360 Do you get the "Can't connect to xbox live" error on your xbox, because if you do just disconnect from your internet connection through your xbox (System settings) then reconnect (This might only work if your connected wirelessly) It works for me :)

If the bottom/recent fix for error 619 doesn't work then do this->disconnect from your wireless network/internet connection then reconnect again in less than 5 seconds, try it :)

I found a fix for error 619, it might work for you because it works for me :) Do this->Disconnect from your wireless network wait 1-2 minutes and try again (repeat this process until the VPN connection works) believe me, it works :)

I think the reason why it doesnt work for me and other people is that the vpn server is in the usa and our xbox knows by the IP address, the way it will work is if you connect to a vpn server that is in the counrty or region where you have your xbox on

@rOpticGaming ??? Its supposed to be there...Did you follow every single step in creating the vpn connection without any errors or unkown notifications? Go to the "Sharing" tab when you click on properties and type in the name of you xbox connection. (Make sure you tick the first box)

Just delete the connection and make a new one but this time pay close attention to every single step I mentioned in the video, maybe you missed something... :)

@embren11 You can use the vpn connection the whole time but you can get signed out of xbox live a lot and the download speed can really suck at times. My point is that the vpn connection can limit your fun on xbox live (you probably won't be able to connect to your friends). So just use it to start the download and finish it when it reaches up to 97%, thats what I do :)

@sGKevisPr Were you using the vpn connection when the download got to 97% - you have to use vpn connection to start the download then you can use your normal internet connection. But when the download reaches up to 97% use should turn off your xbox then connect to the vpn and continue downloading. (Read the important part of the description)

Try this:

-make sure your wire connecting your xbox to your pc/laptop is fit in tight.

-Look at where you connected the wire to ur pc/laptop, there should be a green light and an orange light blinking.

Answer these questions:

-Did you follow all the steps in the the tut?

-Are u using VPN reactor?

-At your adapter settings in Network and sharing center- does your vpn connection say this under its name (Yourname, Shared)?

-Also in your adapter settings-does it say in brackets (PPTP)
