Now, I know Canadian opinions don't matter, but things like health care and education are services that we all need at some point in our life, so part of being in a society is supporting that. As long as you continue to screw around with those two things, you are only making your country worse.

I went and it was depressing to see so many people buy in to this garbage that it's grassroots. It was organized by by people linked to the very conservative KMJ, which featues Chris Daniel. The same man who likes to feature a bumper of Obama "slipping and admitting he's a muslim" , when in fact he did not. And what struck me was that so many people had the same message written over and over again on signs and t shirts, which were at other events. It seemed like a GOP event in disguise.

There were independents, libertarians, even democrats fed up with govt overspending. People put Bush and Obama in the same boat even though they are on the opposite sides of the aisle. Im repub but I wasnt too fond of Bushs spending, other than that he did great imo. Oh and your complaint about the signs having the same things is bullshit, there were some witty signs, and some similaraities are expected, its not like they all got together ahead of time for who gets what sign lol

Being at a few GOP events during my lifetime tells me otherwise, in addition to the amount of money funneled by Conservative groups through Republican channels. As for the bullshit part, there were onyl two witty signs and one happened to belong to a Ron Paul supporter who had a sign that said the US needed to stop spending tax payer money to support an Empire. The other belonged to a woman who had a variation of the Keep the change mantra. The rest had cookie cutter signs . . .

It wasn't just similarities. They were the exact same signs. You can't tell me this was a grass roots event, can you? I saw the same signs, matching word for word, at other events around the country. I know KMJ said there lots of minorities there, but the truth was there were only a hand full and most were Hispanic, with many being Evangelicals. The reason I know this is the female attire, plus the fact that I attended service with some of those folks. The was faux roots and end timers.

Great to see this! My sister (an Obot) lives in Fresno, but I know that conservatives do exist there. I sent a short video from Tea Party in pouring rain and cold Annapolis MD, where I actually met Obama. ;-)

Oh ya dude, Fresno County is a pretty red county. The whole Central Valley is pretty red.

Actually Obama barely won Fresno country...by less than 1% although I would agree...it is a more conservative area...even among the Democrats as many of them are non-white and more traditional and are not the hard left media elite types.

The whole valley may be pretty red, but that doesn't mean it''s smart. And the fact that Obama won Fresno County is more related to the fact that Bush did a horrible job of managing the war, budget, and the country's infrastructure. I used to be conservative and the amount of valley folks that think Obama is going to come in to your home, abort your baby and steal your guns is absolutely frightening. And these people think they're common sense folk? Listen to KMJ and find out for yourself.

The state of California has the highest sales and income tax in the country as well as the highest vehicle registration costs. Google "federal income tax rates" to see the tax rate...of course social security, unemployment, state income tax, state sales tax, state property tax, death tax, and disability taxes are on top of this.

Actually NJ has the highest sales and income tax in the country... I think were 2nd or 3rd.

NJ State Sales Tax is 7.00%

California Top Income Tax Rate: 10.30%

NJ Top Income Tax Rate: 8.97%

What is more concerning than the current taxes is the spending that is creating massive national debt. This will have to be paid back someday so taxes are expected to go up significantly in the future to meet the planned spending and pay off the past debt.
