I have a feeling this isn't a real game and that size of crowd isn't out to watch just this. My guess is this is some kinda showcase or something during half time at a hockey game. As far as I know no one is actively pursuing this as a sport (I'm both an ulty player and from the frozen tundra of Canada). But at the same time people probably say that about normal ulty too. Who knows.

What's also cool, is the amount of spectators. What a great way for ice rinks to offer a fun, easy to learn team sport that doesn't require the investment of money or time like hockey. I'm going to see if any of the rinks by me, here in Austin, TX offer it...

the game is meant to be dominated by the taller, more athletic person. this simply would not accommodate the better player, just the better ice skater.. frisbee needs to be played on a field, but this might be fun for a one time thing..

i think the only problem with making this a regular thing is that eventually people will catch on that they can just slide the disk on the ice all the way to the other side of the ice. I guess it would have to be a new penalty because it would make scoring much easier.

Okay first of all, once the disc hits the ground it's a turnover, and second of all, somebody would stop the disc before it slides all the way to the other end of the rink. They're not all gonna just watch it go by. So I'm pretty sure sliding it would not be helpful at all.

you don't have to get so heated just because you don't understand what im saying. when its a turnover where does the disk start from? not from where it initially hit but rather from where it lies. if then the new offense were to drop it it would be another turnover from where it dropped again. see how you could work it down the field?

if the disk is near my goal and it drops and there is no one open to throw to guess what? i throw it as far as possible just to make it harder for them to score

I have to say, I saw the title and thought it would be cool, but it doesn't have the fluidity of hockey. It looks kind of UNgraceful. By contrast, when it's played on a field, I think Ultimate is VERY graceful. I guess this is kind of ironic. Maybe the goofy music detracted from the aesthetic a bit.
