I love nothing more than, slipping into a nice jacket in the evening placing my feet in some lovely woolen footwear, sparking up my pipe and listening to a bit of the old nice polysics. spiffing
Thumbs up @krimzonvillain for the explanation, they're also greatly influenced by the "Post-Punk" movement, early XTC are a huge influence as well as Kraftwerk, Can, Neu, Sparks, B-52's and Japanese innovators like P-Model.
@chupathingy99 It's technically new wave, which is a close sister to punk. It doesn't have the direct anti-establishment message, instead it values an aesthetic rebellion. Like DEVO, Talking Heads, and the Ramones before it, Polysics work on a more intellectual level. Their sound is a bit more hard edge than their predecessors, though, which is probably why their walking the line between both types of music can strike a nerve.
@AcidOverrideKiller last year, at the casbah. they play there whenever they come by, though i am not sure they are playing anymore as the keyboardist played her last tour last year.
