  • Yes completely. Different?

  • that face!~

  • @ShamuLesbo it just isnt fair

  • @lizzynewm ugh~

  • Song is pretty cool for a puffer video. :P

  • i have 2 green spotted puffers in marine water with a snowflake moray eel and a dwarf lionfish, i love them!

  • they're so beautiful! I'm really happy becuase tomorrow i'm getting a figure 8! Pierre is really cute by the way and you have an amazing tank! :)

  • Puffer fish always seem so happy

  • He is gorgeous! My GSP "Cheese Puff" is 3 inches in full marine and spoiled like Pieree! lol

  • I have a little tiny puffer alone in a 3gallon tank.

I read that they are brackish, but he seems very happy in the fresh water. Healthy, curious and eating, no problems.

  • @2l28DRAIN They do good in fresh water as a juvenile, you`ll need to gradually go from brackish to full marine by time it reaches about two or three years old.Glad you got a puffer btw, they`re very smart and interesting creatures.

  • @AQUATUBR Yes, I like him a lot. I feel bad that I can't provide a bigger tank for him, so I do what I can to entertain him. Give him a wide variety of foods, live snails. I've added a tiny pinch of salt to his tank to get him used to it. His coloration and appetite is healthy, but I don't know what to do when he gets bigger :(

  • @AQUATUBR We cannot afford to have a full marine tank, but what is the closest we could get? We have a 20 gallon aquarium and are thinking about getting one puffer. Are the figure eight puffers any different?

  • @2l28DRAIN Needs a bigger tank... 10x the size or more..

  • wow, he looks like 12 inches long but i know he cant possibly be that big! how big is he?

  • @1027liv He`s about six inches and about five years old now,I`d say he will max out at about seven inches.

  • That's a big puffer! o.o

I've had my green spotted puffer for about a year and a half now, and he's still only about 1 inch long.

How long did it take Pierre to get that big, anyway?

  • @ShinyDazzlight might be stunted, how big of a tank is it in? what are your parameters? how many fish live with him?

  • He looks awesome! :)

What kind of water condition do you have him in, and how many gals? I have two baby GSP's right now and they are so cute

  • looks great...now stop feeding him goldfish ;)

  • @Spiderdjeru I only feed him goldfish once and awhile,he eats mostly shrimp and crayfish.

  • i just want to ask... i have a size 29 aquarium that i bought and setting it up to be a saltwater.. my question is will it be ok for me to put it in that tank? and fyi i am planning to put clown fishes also

  • @09kitty23 I would not recommend it. A full size gsp is six inches and quite rotund. They are said to require 30 gallons to themselves. But once you see one full size I think you'll quickly agree that 30 gallons is too small and tankmates would be out of the question.

  • @JoseDepacos i understand now.. thanks.. also i have inverts in my tank now and 2 happy perculas.. adding it will surely make things worse and deadly

  • @JoseDepacos i agree, most puffers should be kept alone in nothing smaller than a 30 gallon.

  • @09kitty23 Don't do it man, these puffers are aggresive to fish, I had one and it killed 3 fishes of mine b/c it nipped there fins :( just get the clownfishes and some anenomes :D

  • @morenoaguileramex i decided not too.. there are tons of inhabitants in my tank that i dont want them to be murdered by a puffyfish. now i only have 2 clowns and tons of different crustaceans and mollusks which i got from an asian food market for pennies ^^ will add blenny and maybe 2 damsel and a dwarf angel

  • @09kitty23 For one puffer,i think a 29 is ok,but not with Clown fish, they need much bigger, careful btw, clowns are one of the hardest fish to keep alive.

  • Wow,5 stars for the song and everything else, just perfect haha, how old is he? mines a baby right now, hes on my channel if u want to see him

  • his back is really rounded or hes fat

  • How old is it?

  • really nice video , nice fish, but this is not tetraodon nigroviridis, this is tetraodon fluviatilis, not the same, if you want to see a real GSP go to: sy300, his fish its a real GSP.

But i think your fish is great.

  • @drcheco66 yes this is a GSP there are more patterns then just the normal spots its not known if there is geographical differences in the patterns but as of now there is no other classifications other then tetraodon nigroviridis for all of them. A tetraodon fluviatilis or ceylon(common name) gets about 2 inches bigger then a GSP and its patterns are very different looking like a mix between a gsp and fig8.

  • @drcheco66 If it was to be anything other then a GSP it would be a Tetraodon Sabahensis or (giant spotted puffer) but as of right now there is really not much known about them and they usually have a more creamy underside and more yellow then green so i would still concider this a GSP. There is not really alot know about the giant spotted puffer.

  • What an excellent specimen! I look forward to the day my GSP reaches that size. I have some low-quality videos of him in my older tank, most notably the process of him sleeping and waking up, it's quite amazing.

How long have you had him now?

  • lol nice name, pierre lol that made me laugh, nice puffer!!!

  • very cool puffer! i hope mine gets that big someday

  • he looks almost puffed up a little in this one... or hes just a fatty.. lol 5 stars

  • he`s just a fatty,been laying of some meals,pierre is on a diet lol.

  • Such an awesome strange fish. I had one long ago, just a very small one. It died in the first couple months, twas sad. Bout how big is this guy?
