  • This is the real stuff I love it.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • That's a good tip. I never thought about using the BFO for that purpose, thanks.

  • KJQ6146, I remember the DX-160 in your shack! It was your baby, along with your Bengal, and your Pro-16 scanner. Those were the days! -Matt (Titanic)

  • Really nice videos you made about these radios. Definitely great that you have the one your Dad gave you.

I just got one of these little radios myself. So far I'm impressed with the receive of it and I don't mind the little bit of drift. So many people hate them because of that drift but it's not that bad.

  • Great radio Dino! I had one just like it during the 70's and I couldn't be pulled away from it, lot's of fun.

  • Thank you.

  • very cool

  • And East St.Louis? Ha! As long as I have known there was an East Saint Louis I have know it was bad news. Even more so now. A trucker from around these parts got killed and his truck stolen in East Saint Louis. That was bad.

  • Good to hear that you still use that old equipment. You do your Dad proud. And yourself. Thanks for watching and 73.

  • It's a shame about East St. Louis, my parents lived there for a few years in the mid-fifties when my dad was in the service. He got to come home everynight and he'd walk a few blocks to the local tavern to get his beer-bucket filled then he'd slosh it all the way home. They later moved to Indy where they are today. He talked a lot on the radio during the 60''s till about 1980. He had -until he gave it to me a set of Browning 23/s-nine tx and R-2700A rx with a knight T-175 amp. I use 'em often.

  • I had one of those way back when, I always thought the colored bands made the radio look happy in a way.
