@pinkfedoragal I hardly think so, since Salieri himself wrote several sacred pieces; one of them, a Te Deum, compares well with the settings of Mozart and the Haydn brothers.

I can hardly think straight after hearing this matchless music performed in this greatest of churches by Karajan and the Vienna Philharmonic.

And to think that Mozart wrote this Mass at the age of 23 (1779)... most humbling....
