Shakira tried, belly dance is not natural to her. Unlike the Arabs and Indians, belly dancing is their natural dance . They dont have to learn it, they grow up doing it. Some people can learn and perform it well. I love this lady's dance and I equally like Shakira style too

Sadie, is very very flexible, she can move so many muscles in her body, but then again she took lots of lessons, shakira is not a belly dancer, shakira is a singer, that belly dances in her videos, and shakira didn't take lessons, so you just can't compare them..

Yes she is a good dancer but I'm sorry her talent does not diminish Shakira's in any way shape or form. I completely agree with bitterfly77 on this one - Shakira writes her music, plays her music, sings her music, dances to her music, does most if not all of her own choreography, and was a hit well before she started doing her songs in English. Both of these women have a lot to offer the world; to me it's silly and childish to call someone as talented as Shakira a fake over something so trivial.

Though this woman is exceptionally skilled within the art of bellydancing, her skill level does not diminish Shakira's overall skill at all. I will agree with you that Shakira's bellydancing expertise does not appear (based upon those performances of hers that I have seen) to be quite as honed as this lovely young woman's, but there is room in this world for two (or more) talented ladies. Shakira's talents lie within a broader scope than just her dancing.
