  • American koi? That is Japanese Nishikigoi isn't that?

  • @LAMBORGHINIsince1962 Well originally all Koi carp come from Asia, but Imported Japanese RAISED Koi are still considered a better fish than the Koi bred here in the states. Even though all the Koi in the states come from Japanese fish that where imported. Still they make a huge distinction in price depending on where it was raised. Japanese have been breeding them for long time so they kinda turn their nose up and anything not bred in japan. Quality Koi can be found in both country's though.

  • Hi, i've recently built a pond in my backyard, and my pond has rocks at the bottom as well. It's been a week since the fishes arrived and the rocks are starting to turn green like in your pictures. Would that be considered an algae problem or is that normal?

  • hi. if you have an algi problem then you should consider buyin a 'grass carp' they feed on it. if you like koi carp then you can buy albino ones that still look nice. look in to it
