Week 94: Friday, Mrparka Review's "Night of the Scarecrow" (1995 Slasher)

Nothing new to say, but still) The movie is fucking brutal. Saw it as a kid, and it scared the living shit out of me. So, 10 years passed and i got to see it again. The atmosphere is deep and disturbing, fx are gory and painful to watch, so it's really a must-see. Well done, Jeff Burr.

I liked Night of the Scarecrow. Jeff Burr lives in Dalton, Georgia which is about 10 minutes from where I live. A friend and I made a short film called Kamra (which is in post production.) Jeff Burr helped us with in a Producer/Consultant role.. He is a very busy guy which makes contacting him difficult at times, but he was a major help. He is a really good guy and talented filmmaker. If you want to see some of his better stuff check out The Stepfather 2, Eddie Presley, or Staight Into Darkness.

Jeff Burr did The Stepfather II, too, which is pretttty damn good, as good as the original I'd say. Anyway, this one sounds real cool. The "autumn feel" is makin' me interested. Autumn's my favorite season. Really intelligent and articulate review, Dave, as always. Thumbs up.
