My eighth grade football coach made us do the haka before every game. It was basically a bunch of white kids with their shirts off, dancing around and moaning for a bunch of old people......we lost every game. The Haka has no meaning, provides no help, and doesn't intimidate people in the least bit, UNLESS you know what you're saying and your doing it right and for the right reasons. I can only stand it when Highland and, on occasion, United does it before games because it has meaning to them.

Actually rugby was a real innovation in its time, something which was truelly revolutionary. So was American footbal which came much later. Both games have evolved and become very technical. Rugby requires a lot of fitness and I think here AF cannot compete. AF is am amzing game with dimensions that are truelly space age. Both games can be extremely borring or brilliant, depending on the day and team inspiration. Neither is for weaklings. Each unique and both wonderfull,

Also, rugby is not only popular because it been around for so long. It's popular because it is one of the toughest sports in the world, where athletes must be exceptional in every aspect of the game, know strategy and be able to do plays on the fly, and hell a major reason is because of the devestating hits.

Oh year.... American Football almost never cancels a game(I've never seen one canceled). NFL and College play in practically every weather condition even in heavy rains, icy blizzards and yes even dense fogs. The only time they may delay is dangerous lightening.

But in Grid Iron its called a block. Most of your hits in a Grid Iron game are blocks (other players protecting the ball carrier) not tackles on the ball carrier. Whats funny is half of those teams in the video are college level and not Pro.

I'm a prop myself, what is all this tackling with heads, 21st on solid shoulder in the chest generally does the trick. If you are a purist then the lower the tackle the better. (just not as satisfying as the BOOM when you land one well)

Also, in American football you get a big hit on you, but then play stops and you have time to get up. i just got back from a rugby tournament in nebraska and i hurt everywhere...ive played football for most of my life and sad to say i got more respect for rugby players they hit just as hard or even harder than football with no padding...how many football players tape their ears back so they dont get ripped off...no comparison
