I always found these guys a challenge to jam along with. They had some real cool movements in their tunes. the guitar playing carried me just when i thought blues based rock guitar consisted only of Slash and Izzy. These guys threw everything else for a loop digging on some earthy influences and then augmenting that with new injections of now. Thanks for posting this!
This band I loved right from their release ~ Great guitar hooks and killer vocals ~ These tunes get me moving man ~ Will these days ever come back? I love this music era man ~ HORNZ UP HIGH to all of us who dig this killer music man ~
Great big John Bonham bass drum sound.... nothing to do with Ludwigs though. Just stick the kick drum mic in front of the front head with no hole cut in it, instead of inside the drum itself. Use a good condenser mic overhead to pick up the rest of the kit and viola - there's the sound! "Come Along' is the best track but the whole record is hugely solid...
love this album

There is/was only 1 Salty Dog and they were from Long Island. Played the Jersey Shore club circuit from approx 1976-1979.

Wish this quality of guitar playing would come back as mainstream music. Maybe in the next decade. 2011.

The singer talking at the end almost reminds me of Bon Scott's voice
