Ahahaha, IT'S NOT A REAL COURT! The judge is wrong and should talk to her producers. The producers offer to have Judge M arbitrate the dispute between the two parties if they agree to dismiss their civil action and be bound by Judge M's decision. (Who is a real Judge) These are real people with real cases. However, even though the show is decorated and run like a real courtroom, it is NOT A REAL COURT OR PART OF ANY JUDICIAL SYSTEM, but instead a form of binding arbitration. Look it up!
