ah i love POYS, good show every year. or was it the christmas show?
did the Talent spotters this year, sooo goood!!!
No offence to who is riding the pony but yu need to give with your hands, cos the pony needs its head over the jump, like if you ever jump anything bigger the horse needs its head over the jumps :\
most of the riders in this video REALLY need to learn how to release. this should be taught before kids even learn to jump. it's a trend i've been seeing a lot lately, and it's disappointing. a horse or pony will jump so much better if they are allowed to use their head and neck. these ponies are very nice though, and the riders are not bad, in my opinion they just really need to work on their releases, and should not be showing at this level until they do.
thats a terrible thing to say!! you have no idea how hard this pony is to ride! have YOU ever shown at POYS?? i doubt it! the poor girl was probably just nervous. lots of people crunch up and get nerves at big shows but are confident as hell jumping big tracks at home. please keep your negative comments to yourself. if you have anything nice to say dont say anything at all.
@xGINGERJUMPERx Fair enough but you cannot harm a horse down to 'nerves' and if you're going to jump at that level, things like that can't really be said :/
@emaieoghanahally i know that at POYS for a fact stress levels are much higher in riders and ponies. riders and ponies who are brilliant at home can be fidgety and nervous at big shows. there is loud music playing and tons of unfamiliar sounds/people. also this class doesnt look like its "really high level" its probably a newcomers or a novice. because i mean the jumps arent to full height. also to even compete at a BSJA show at towerlands takes a good rider and at leqast some accomplishement
@xGINGERJUMPERx I do know what a show is, exspecially POYS. However I also know that I work with my horses for months before I even take them to their 1st show to insure my safety and there's, sometimes I don't even ride when I go to new places because I reliase this, until my horses are ready, I dont push them, this is then where mistakes happen. Im not saying there was mistakes here, as these are all good riders im just saying different to your comment :)
@emaieoghanahally And also, POYS ponies are trained at home with 'scary' jumps, and taken to previous shows before, therefore are capable, thats why I dont think you can blame it down to nevers, however if the rider is nervous because its a 'wow big competion must win' then I agree with the fact that the ponies will be nervous to, if the rider is, the pony will be to. :)
the girl riding the first pony was needs a lot of work. especially on controlling his pace and her two point. it was just hurting me to watch a beautiful pony like that with a rider who shouldn't be on her back.
Hi I'm interested in your horse, but I have a few questions to ask if possible,

Hi, I was just wondering where you live, how much your asking for her and does she have any vices? She looks wonderful!
Would you think that she's a confidence giver?
Thanks!
