we were on the phone to our friend in innisfail when it hit really bad, first the lost the fornt stair case, then there roof, after that. there whole house was gone :(
When the first Rapists and Murderers were sent to live in Australia, there weren't many women and they ended up fucking pigs. The pigs and the Australian people have interbred so closely that they are now considered, the ugliest people on the planet.
What happens to you when you die? Have you ever told lies, stolen, used God's name in vain? If yes, then you are a liar, thief, and a blasphemer. When you die & be judged by God, you'll be guilty of sin. The bible says you'll end up in Hell! But God sent God His Son Jesus to die on a cross for your sins, He was buried & rose from the dead on the third day. If you'll believe the Gospel(Jesus's death, burial & resurrection) for the forgiveness of your sins, you'll not perish & have eternal life!
Too bad you didnt put any vision on where the real devistation hit. My mother lost her house in Mena Creek near Innisfail. I agree not real bright leaving your pool furnature out during a Cat 5 Cyclone.
All the video footage looks pretty piss weak , but mate , I was in Babinda which took the full brunt and it was the most terrifying time of my life , it's a miracle nobody was killed let alone hundreds .
My Baby brother got sent home from the Hospitial due to coz he was born 9 & half weeks early it was soooo bad coz his milk went of and we had nothing 4 him. my mum couldn't breastfeed coz he was soo tiny after spending almost 2 months in the hospitial I THINK HE GOT SENT HOME ON THE BAD DAY
I was In this filming it was Fucking awsome, the last 2 Cyclones i were in was, Tracy in darwin, and Cyclone elthea that hit Townsville in 1996, they were the fucking best cyclones ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was so sick of hearing you lil bitches bitching about this, I live in Cairns and it wasnt badly hit, but Innisfail was like "wa wa wa my house got its roofed ripped off wa wa wa" but you all knew it was coming but you didnt do anything ro help yourself! sheesh I dont like bananas anyway, lmao
honestly there wasnt much they could do...strengthening toe roof of your house isnt as easy as tying it down you know...the best they couldve done was leave the area and save themselves...so i dont think you can blame them for being upset about losing their house knowing full well there wasnt much if anything they couldve done about it....and lets face it...innisfail has a lot of old fashioned queenslanders which arent exactly the best buidlings for cyclones
Cairns copped that? gee...what a battering - kinda like TC Justin....some trees down, the odd fluttering hammock, and a careful reminder of the hazards present of living in the tropics....
did the pet bunny rabbits get scared? (that heavy metal guitar was a bit rough too)...
OH - and we all knew INNISFAIL copped it - not Cairns....been in 3 cyclones, and am an avid WX Watcher due to it, and would advise anyone - if you dont like hot kitchens - dont go near them.....
we had five ECL's in june 1 after the other that is preety rare its only happen in `50 and 1974 and 1950 tweed heads was underwater and 1974 brissy went under plus hail stone the size of soft balls in lismore and sydney this year i think the east coast is in for it this year comin
I remember the day it hit i lived in cairns most of my life but now i live in brisbane. but after it ended i remember going outside and it was pretty ripped up like all trees and shit and we had no power for like 2 days lol neways Cairns is a good place to live but so is Brisbane
You wanna know why innisfail got fucked up? Because you dumb shits have houses made out of tin and 30 year old wood. Fucken whingers, its all about poor little innisfail.
You are officially a fuck tard! Innisfail is just one of a very small amount of towns that actually make Australia...Australia. So why don't you fuck off cunt? If you wanna live in a good house, go to Brisbane you thick fuck.
actually for your info they are called qld'ers especially designed to withstand more pressure and rain from a cyclone than your rich slums lol. But the houses still got fucked up you say? you try and see if anything withstands a cat. 5 cyclone.
yeah well go bacck to your pretty little house anf fuck your self man! people cant afford to build stronger homes dickhead! and if you had the winds in cairns like the did in innisfail you woukd be fucked up too dickhead so show some respect! SCUM!
yeh man i was rite in the middle of it and it was some scary shit. im ova in east innisfail n it got trashed ay after larry man it was like a war zone and a bomb went off
Cool vid, our storms spin the other way, I live in Florida. Music is great, goes right over the head of aus2045, he must listen to rap and can only digest 2 note's, simpleton.
lol im living down heanly ST earville man that street got trashed i rode into town the day befor the cyclone fucking got stuck out there in the cyclone..
Drive half a hour south of Cairns to Deeral and then a further hour south from there to Mission Beach and all those tree's shown in your video were stripped bare of any leaves. In Innisfail (90 km's south of Cairns) those so called strong QLD homes were trashed - 300kmh winds will do that... A bit different to the 100kmh winds in Cairns. :)
As a photojournalistic movie, well edited and produced.
For the Yanks; Cyclone (Hurricane) Larry was a Cat5 just before landfall, and destroyed the Innisfail district - Australia's main banana growing area. Six months later, in Sydney, the price of bananas is higher than beef. A banana split is a luxury.
yeah bananas went up to $16 a kilo so everyone stopped eating them. Now they are at normal price of $3 so we are all happily munching them in Adelaide again !
good video, that was my old school that you video taped. Although it dosnt look like much damage its because the houses are built to withstand it now, but i was still scared as hit
For 180mph winds you guys didn't get damage at all. Then again im use to damage from like Hurricane Katrina and it was only like 145mph and there was total devastation to everyone that lives in Louisiana pretty much was damaged.
The reason Cairns didn't suffer as much damage as Louisiana was because the homes in Qld are built to withstand the devestating winds - homes overseas do not have the same building restrictions as we do. It's all about preventing the damage (mind you we certainly pay for it). On saying that I must add that Cairns didn't get the brunt of the cyclone - a town further south suffered the real damage.
That was a really good video! i was in Mission Beach when Larry hit. we were there renervating a house! it was hell, to have to keep renervating whilst under the weather contintions we were in! it was just so wet! ha ha. i got some footage too. but only with my Digi cam. so the quality isnt that great. it was nice to see the footage that you got though, because having no power. we didnt know what was happening around any where but innisfail and mission!
This video showed us what the news couldnt and exactly how much damage was done. Our prayers and thoughts are with everyone especially my family who live in Innisfail and have lost everything. We love you all.
Nice to see something so current. Would have been nice to see more footage of the winds in action though... as long as I don't have to go out and film them. :)
Thanks, I have more footage (about 25 minutes all up) but I had to keep it short for youtube, so I tried to keep it interesting... Hey if we get hit by cyclone Wati, expect another vid :P
