  • You realize they do this at the factory right? Super hot distilled water.. but still done with water..

  • I see nothing wrong with this.

  • how do you make it work again? mine won't turn on

  • @mighrandor maybe your wires connection is not correct that's why it won't work, double check first the connections

  • Why don't you try putting it in the washing machine or the dish washer xD

  • just cleaned my i5 and i7!!! worked PREFERFELTYCLY!

  • leaving itto dry 24-48 hours is NOT a good idea, the oxidation starts building soon, and if you don't get the water out of the gaps with compressed air it will definitely rust slowly,

we often come acrross pc's which have worked for months with soup or coffee in them, then the rust has eaten away joints

  • don't forget to dry it with sand paper =D

  • Right Ma Pentium 4 ITS CLEAN NAOWW C:

  • so macht man das halt echt^^

  • that is one squeeky clean mobo. I cleaned my xbox mobo by going down the raod at 80mph and holding it out the window XD

  • OMG..

  • This would probably be fine, assuming you were going to dry it well, except that the fan armature should not be getting wet. The moving parts should not be immersed like this.

  • we want more pc trolling !!

  • cool. thanks for the tip!

  • no no no please don't do this ...it will ruin your PC and you have to buy a new one ..please just use a blower and a cloth to clean up your pc ,,,,just separate the hardware

  • @muchamariam1 i know. was joking:p

  • @call911forpolice ok ..LOL

  • it WILL still work provided the batteries were removed. its a good way to remove dusts stuck on some hard to reach areas, but this technique should be done only as a last resort.

  • sweet, i think ill try that with both my $2000 builds.

does this also work for SSHD's?

  • @boddeyboy Yes but just dont blame him

  • 4hands washing 1 motherboard

  • hmmm, so that is what they call water cooler right?

  • that was some rape

  • you got the meaning of "system cleanup" wrong

  • I put PCB's with caked on dust in the dish washer all the time. As long as you use a soap that is non corrosive and allow it a reasonable amount of time to dry there shouldn't be any issues.

  • if it still worked it is a good motherboard! :)

  • What is this I don't even...

  • Of course it would still work. Its not like water destroys circuitry... if it is running, it may SHORT circuit though, which is why it causes problems then.

  • why :/

  • Does it matter if you do this while the computers on?

  • @Renegade30

If you want to be electrocuted, have a fire, and ruin your computer, then SURE! Go right ahead!

  • Water cooling

  • I've gotta try this sometime. When I get a job and a good $500 or so to piss away doing such a retarded act, that is...

Are you serious when you say it still worked after that? Did you at least rinse it with water to get the SOAP off?

  • aah fck, the battery just gets corrosion or some shit like that and it'll start rusting

  • did you leave it on the laundry line with those snaps to dry??? :)

  • the only thing ive washed in a computer is some ide cables lol

  • damit... these people are smart. i never wouldn think about doin that kind of wash for my pc... its like a bath pc.

  • I bet your shit is gonna fire, due to that you added soap to the CPU heatsink = no more thermal paste = BOOM!!!!

  • @jonhyboy122 thats not true... the thermal paste will still be there unless some sort of normal grease was used instead. thermal paste is designed to cure after a week or so. havent you ever pulled a hs/f off a cpu/gpu/nb/sb or whatever before?

  • Look Ma! no more dust.

  • i accidently dropped water on my pc. its power supply was burnt so i replaced it and now its working

  • My god, this gives me the same feeling as someone going to poor gas on a fire...

    Why?! Just why?!!?!

  • Dad I cleaned your computer for you

Ok thanks (walks in his office)

    WHAT THE FUCK!?

  • Would have been so much funnier, if after spraying it with water, you pissed on it. Wonder if it would still work then.

  • haha Water cooled PC

  • Shit

  • use Dawn soap scrub u get 2 times the cleaning power per drop! =]

  • Actually if you let it dry very well for like 24-48 hours it can possibly still work

  • @Coolboya24

we dried it for only 30 min with a fan-and it worked ! :D

  • @ThePCextreme Next time remove the battery and do the final wash with distilled water. Garden hoses are unnecessary and add a small amount of lead to the water. I wash my boards in three tubs... one with soapy water, next with regular water rinse, third and final with distilled water rinse. And, I try to let it air dry at least a week.

  • you should remove the CMOS battery, the CPU, heat sink, and the RAM dude, trapped water under these components will kill you board. that's not the right way to do it.

  • THIS VIDEO MADE ME A MAN

  • 神经病?!?!

  • did he died?

  • Comment removed

  • @pdani72 no but he should have haha

  • WOOT noobs.remove the bios battery or it will not work anymore.

  • @munteanuioan Oh, really ?!? :O

  • @munteanuioan

we have NOT removed the BIOS battery and it WORKED :)

  • @ThePCextreme why not include THAT in the video?

  • @ThePCextreme

    Not for long i'm guessing.

  • @ThePCextreme isn't the battery for POST?

  • @InlandQuarter No. A motherboard with a dead abttery will still POST, but the BIOS settings will stop being consistent after changes.

  • @ThePCextreme

    DUMB LUCK

Usually though, at least with cell phones, in case of water, the battery will short circuit and kill power before water reaches the rest of the item.

  • @munteanuioan umadbro?

  • just imagine, one day, someone will be doing this with an i7 saying, "its an old i7, no one uses them anymore...."

  • @DynamicJDUB99 mwahahahaha

  • @DynamicJDUB99 That day will come my friend =D

  • @DynamicJDUB99 Allready 1 year, so in 3-4 years more :)

  • @I3331934 it's a celeron ;)

  • WTF !

  • this is how you refresh a PC, no F5 ;)

  • You can clean any electonics this way with just water, if you let it dry, it WILL work, but no soap tho.

  • is it functionally?

  • Now that's what I call a Water Cooled Pc

  • @h1wayman its an old pentium 4.... no one uses them anymore.

  • @I3331934

    I do.

  • @I3331934

    i use it :PPPPPP

  • @I3331934 I use them and i'm proud to.

  • its a can its 5 bucks u buy it at ace, electronics clener, just spray the pc dont even take it apart take the side off and just spray the whole thing outside let it drip dry,the dude is right though even though im sure this is a joke vid,if it drys good befor u restart it it will work just fine

  • as long as you let it dry good enough it will work again

  • Thank you, the PC in the office is really dusty. ;)

  • Hahahah #WTF #LOL

  • dumb

  • The leats you could have done was removed the CMOS battery

  • Ficus

  • Stupid but happy... all u need :-)

  • Haha you could probably do this as long as you make sure it's completely dry before you give it any electricity :)
