You don't need to write real riffs with melodies and use your creativity to get a good structure and a mind-blowing riff. You just chug at random, hoping your breakdown will be a good breakdown. Even if it's not, there will be at least 3 or 4 other breakdowns per track anyway, so you have plenty of time to get it right.

The verses are typical post-hardcore verses: chug-chug riffs, heavy distortion, hardcore vocals. Then they move to the chorus, clean vocals, clean guitars playing simple chords paterns. Then they move to the next verse. It's a receipe I just can't stand anymore. It's been done countless times.
