Remember when this came out during the boy band/nu-metal bullshit era and was considered a commercial disappointment. Very glad the tides turned considerably since.
I was dying trying looking for a playlist of this album on YouTube... Then I looked at my pile of CDs and remembered that at one point I bought all the NIN albums. Including this one.
@asemanasa yea, and that was way back in the day when you could get in trouble at elementray school for saying you had a copy of this and that was also back when 17.00$ was an outrageous price on cds (my mom paid 13.00 I think)
Really? I think it'd be best (and awesome) if they made a 3 CD set, one simply for extra material, that I would really enjoy personally, though I'm sure many others would agree.

This album did not match the hype for me. Yea, it wasn't bad but it wasn't that great either. I like Manson's Eat Me Drink Me better then this record. (yes, I am expecting many negatives for this comment)

It'd would've been a much better album if they ditched 7 or 8 tracks and kept it tighter.....they could've always released the 'filler' tracks on an EP or things falling apart etc.
I am sure this piece of artwork is forbidden in Italy because it would have been considered subliminal message, while , oh yes, showing tits and asses all day long seems ok... fucking modern italy.
trent reznor has actually said that the fragile was supposed to be the sequel to TDS, that it is the continuation, even though it wasn't released until 5 years later
do you mean as in the album after? well in that case it is. But it wasn't released til like...5? years after TDS came out. People just weren't as excited for it I guess...or he lost some fans along the way due to his absence. But to me this album is his best. No question

The Fragile is famous for me, too because of the packaging design by David Carson, including this ad in which he directed.

I cannot wait for the re-issue!
It's going to be epic!

I wonder what the re-issue will be like. I've got a feeling they may switch/add/delete tracks to give the album a better flow.

This really was the greatest commercial I ever saw. The timing was perfect too, think it was during some awards show on MTV.
