@adog2294 Actually, it's kindda "free" just below shifter know... I dont have any "fixed" place to hold it

to bypass you use a 12 volt relay...wire top and left tabs to stereos grnd, bottom tab to parking brake wire from stereo and the remaining right tab goes to the remote wire from the stereo...

hey, nice unit, but i have a question, can you just simply just plug in a usb cable in the pioneer unit with your ipod and start playing your ipod through it?

@dMak4x No, for iPod, you have to buy the cable from Pioneer.

@lonewulf999 oh, well when you install the pioneer unit will they help you put the cable through to your glove box or will it be just a random cable out of the deck? :/

@lonewulf999 The headunit comes with a cable that is set up just like your ipod one, So technically he's wrong. Now if you want to play vidoes, you have to buy one that is made by pioneer, for 50 bux. Trust me I know and have this same head unit.

@Clipzin33 You're right. but the usb cable is more like for all universal usb stuff( usb pen drive, usb hard drive ).

@lonewulf999 Correct, it only transmits audio. The one you can by from pioneer costs 50 bux and will allow you to watch music videos saved on your ipod on your headunit.

I loaded a bunch of divx videos onto a dvd. It plays fine but is there a way to set it to "shuffle" or "random" mode?  It only plays in the order it was burned onto cd/dvd. In the system menu I see "random" but it is greyed-out. thx!

you can use the steering wheel controls with a aftermaket radio you just have to buy a interface kit so it will work with your aftermarket radio

Thanks, Metra make some pretty good fitting for about all cars, models. For vids, try skidvid on torrents. Great quality and all top 10's avail.

mmm i ll goo for JL all the way ...they have good sound quality... in subs u can buy the new w0v2 put 2 10 for a better sound quality or 2 12 for more power ...for speakers buy the C5 u can push does with a slash 300/4 and the subs u can use a G 1700 thats all JL brand...if u dont see money as an isssue go for JL man...they last and is the best in the market....please dont buy anything like pioneer for subs or speakers they only made good headunits and no RF or MTX
