I've been using this specific video to learn how, but I probably need to write this down somewhere. But do the stems of the notes not point down after the third line or so? I know they do for trumpet but this is obviously a little different.

Wow; I'm not a professional and I don't want to bash this guy ... but that's not how I've been reading my music.
I mean, bass, hi-hat pedal, hi-hat, and ride are correct ... but snare, toms, and crashes aren't.
