The D.I blink like once and the Recruit was absolutely screaming in pain. That's how fast it happened. Then the Other 6 D.I's near by came running. We all were punished for it. No fun. Don't disrespect them like that.

I gotta say that there is a big difference between the drill sergeants at Ft Benning who are all Infantry and the drill sergeants at other places like here or Ft Jackson. I'll give my DS credit, they took a majority of us and tried to make soldiers from nothing. Problem is most DS get assigned to the position, and most don't want to even be there- who really wants to be at Jackson, Leonardwood, Riley, Sill, or Benning when they were in Hawaii, Germany, Italy, or Lewis? Trying to be on top of your game and teach a new crop of idiots every 9 weeks has got to suck. Most of the male DS were ex combat arms, and were pretty cool after week 4 of basic.
