What you have to understand my friend is that when it comes to the mainstream wrestling scene, its not about being brilliant its about making money. Eventhough the shows are crappy people will still pay to see it because they are mostly casual fans who are not aware of the indies and just want to be entertained. I think alot of people do call WWE on their stupid stuff. But whenever TNA does something stupid and people start to call them on it, we get TNA marks justifying it by bringing up all of the stupid stuff WWE did IN THE PAST. TNA is made up of 2 different forces, both on wrestling and creative, and both forces are pulling on different directions.
One force is the young upcoming never-seen before wrestlers and few good concepts creative has come up with, and that force is trying to make a name worth respecting in the world of Pro Wrestling.
The other one is the old, washed-up, wrestlers and bookers that seem to be too lazy to care about their product and just do something to get paid

I think it comes down to balance TNA has some of the best wrestlers on TV today. But they severly lack in the writing and storylines. WWE as some of the best storylines on TV. But the WWE wrestling style kinda holds back the wrestling from being what it could be.

I hated iMPACT! but it did have that Plan 9 from Outer Space feel in that it was so bad it was kinda good but I still think TNA couldn't book shit.
I haven't watched TNA in over a year, but I occasionly watch clips. It's like watching a bad Mad TV (which also sucks now) with crappy wrestling. WWE may not be as good as it was years ago, but at least it doesn't drop storylines as often as TNA does, not to mention that now they're focusing on younger wrestlers (and no Triple H as Champion).
At first when I heard about thought it was a complete joke then look back at the news items and was like WTF are they doing this will get them some media attention but not any good coverage most media outlets will just laugh at the thought of a wrestling company doing this.

I think alot of people do call WWE on their stupid stuff. But whenever TNA does something stupid and people start to call them on it, we get TNA marks justifying it by bringing up all of the stupid stuff WWE did IN THE PAST. TNA spends a whole month on the Palin bullshit, they would bring up the Katie Vick angle. Now that angle was offensive in every way shape and form but it was also 7 years ago and we are all trying to move on from that.

So what that does tell us?
TNA is made up of 2 different forces, both on wrestling and creative, and both forces are pulling on different directions.
One force is the young upcoming never-seen before wrestlers and few good concepts creative has come up with, and that force is trying to make a name worth respecting in the world of Pro Wrestling.
The other one is the old, washed-up, wrestlers and bookers that seem to be too lazy to care about their product and just do something to get paid

2. What TNA is doing is hotshoting "celebrities" because they figure it will give them some kind of mainstream press. Much like near the the end of WCW.
I think it comes down to balance TNA has some of the best wrestlers on TV today. But they severly lack in the writing and storylines. WWE as some of the best storylines on TV. But the WWE wrestling style kinda holds back the wrestling from being what it could be.

I haven't watched TNA in over a year, but I occasionly watch clips. It's like watching a bad Mad TV (which also sucks now) with crappy wrestling. WWE may not be as good as it was years ago, but at least it doesn't drop storylines as often as TNA does, not to mention that now they're focusing on younger wrestlers (and no Triple H as Champion).

TNA has been awarded by Wrestling Observer Newsletter as "Worst Promotion" several times, and yet both the wrestlers and fans turn their heads to that kind of things.
But now this kind of thing can't be ignored. Wrestlers will realize that by being in TNA they're basically prostituting their talent and will eventually start jumping ships if they want to be taken seriously. Same with the fans that make excuses

tbf to the WWE, they do a major tour of the UK twice a year in April and November and do 2 Raw TV tapings here every year.
