This is fucking incredible work, definitely on a par with the BBC countdown. Also, have you considered contacting the ABC/Armiger directly to see if they would allow you a copy for educational/training purposes? You never know...

I highly doubt they would release the audio, but I guess it might be worth a shot. After all I guess the BBC eventually did!

Where abouts did you get the clean HD footage, including the titles

@Jimmyson07 The vast majority of the footage (including the titles) came from the launch promo loop that aired before the channel went live. You can find it in HD on MorpiumsVideos' channel at /watch?v= sf8WVJcwxv8

The sliding titles came from the same video, I just masked out the original background manually frame-by-frame. For the final title the "On TV. etc" text was covered up with part of an earlier frame.

@SunHillFire As far as I'm aware no one has managed to get hold of a clean version of the station ID/countdown music. If you know of a source, let me know!

I thought of mixing the clean bits of the launch montage with the closing theme we do have, but the station ID is more upbeat and it doesn't fit together. It would be so much easier if the ABC/Martin Armiger posts their music like the BBC allows David Lowe... oh well.
