Our democracy is still very young, the ANC has been for decades the only voice available for blacks to express themselves on a large scale.The majority of South Africans are ignorant as to how a democracy works so still use the ANC as a safe Party not knowing of any other option.

For the concept of Democracy, a one party state is dangerous but I think given SA's situation, we need to have that for at least 2decades.Imagen the major changes that would happen if the DA came into office??They would probably spend their entire time reversing policies??

thank you for taking the time to share your explanation. i disagree that all "whites" acknowledge that they are aware of the effects of apartheid. in fact, many "whites" feel as if living without contributing to the upliftment of Africans, and continuing from where Apartheid left off, is moral and normal. this is appalling.
