  • wow su musica es marVIllosa :)

  • I dont know if lola was a jeff or not.

  • I just accidentally pressed "Plastic Man" bu Seether. Holy cripes what a diference. The Kinks draw you in to a cool joke with some hot music. That Seether thing was like a well of self-pity repleat with gravelly five o'clock shadow like so much of so-called "alternative". Got save the Kinks and take me back to those balck hills that I have never seen.

  • @RareBird0 meh. i love the kinks and seether.

  • @RareBird0 dunno who bu seether is but good comment, You have seeeeeen tha light,,

  • And his kids wanna be plastic like their dad. lol love that line.

  • @CtrlRm I get a mental orgasm everytime

  • the kinks are the greatest band ever.

  • Heard some guy busking this song in Lisburn (Northern Ireland) today. Thought the lyrics were funny!

  • Ray Davies hates this song. He was desperately trying to get a single.

  • sounds like "Run for your Life" by Lennon

  • sounds like dedicated follower of fashion.....still a winner.

  • 7 people are soulless

  • Incredibly, the over-zealous BBC banned this record when it was released in 1969.

The reason? Ray Davies is singing about a "plastic bum" at 0:48. Auntie was not amused.

  • I never heard this song before. Dave Davies doing alot of vocals which is not really a strong suit.

  • @DaveG303

Get into the band and you will do, jeeze talk about being ignorant.

  • .......PLASTIC BUM!

:D this song always puts a smile on my face.

  • One of those songs that don't seem like much of a deal when they first come out, but which steadily grow in stature as time rolls on. (For another in that category, check out Useless Information by the Move - scarily prescient about the Internet and the amount of time people of today spend on cellphones.)

The last Kinks single to feature the late Pete Quaife .... only just heard that he passed on last month. Still in shock.

  • I wonder how the hell they wrote these songs that are painfully relevant today without the benefit of hindsight. Davies and his brother really had heads on their shoulders.

  • One of the most fantastic songs ever written and performed.

  • Just listen to the guitar sounds in this song. Who uses guitars that sound like that today? Nobody. Kudos to Mick for the cowbell. I'll bet they had a blast doin this shit in the studio.

  • Heidi Montag must be his wife.

  • Damn, im just starting to really go threw the arsenal of songs these guys have, and im having a BLAST! Every song i hear is great and ahead of there time, a truely creative band indeed.

    Fuck todays music.

  • Ray at his cynical best

  • Kinks - Plastic man

    Beatles- nowhereman

    Blur- charm less man

    all great

  • @JakeANowhereMan You forgot

    Verve - Lucky Man

    Stones - Street Fighting Man

  • without doubt the best kinks track ever,i mean theyve done some classics but this.....geez...legendary

  • Amazing band that transcended so many

    genres,rock,pop,punk,blues and jazz.

The Kinks were decades ahead of their time.

Ray Davies is a musical genius. What a vision.

  • i loved the kinks when my mum used to put them on when i was about 8 years old. i still love them 13 years later. theyre from the 60s by the way

  • im 13 and my dad refered me to the kinks. gotta say i am probably the only teenager who knows who the kinks are.

  • actually there are many teenagers listening to The Kinks and other old music cause recent music sucks

  • i meant in my school. i do that sometimes ... i mean say stuff in my head but my fingers cant catch up

  • captain johnny: type in electric six and watch danger high voltage and gay bar

  • this was my first tape i ever had when i was 4 was the kinks love em there great

    whats all there nameS?

  • From the top clockwise you have Ray Davies, Mick Avory, Dave Davies, and Peter Quaife.

  • I read once that Ray hates this song now, calling it a "desperate attempt". Catchy, though.
