They didn't sacrifice humans, or believe that demons walked among them. Some may have done animal sacrifices, and they did believe that the dead walked among them, but not demons. People would go house to house and pray for the people who lived there, in exchange for small cakes. Trick or treat doesn't come until far later. And it's not called the night of the dead. It's called the eve of saints. I love Jesus, but some of his followers really get on my nerves.
Wow Christians are really stupid, why do they have to always ruin everything? halloween honors "satan"? yet the bastardized version of "christmas", which is a day humanity put on alll sorts of mythological men like krishna, celebrates CONSUMERISM more than anything. Nothing could be more satanic than that dreaded day.
Halloween has nothing to do with Christianity. It isn't about that and the people who originated the celebration had an entirely different spiritual view and still do that has nothing to do with a Satan or anything remotely like that. You should respect their freedom of religion. There are a lot of different views on where and how it originated.
What?! Halloween is derived from the Spanish holiday "Dio de los Muertos" The day of the dead, where they celebrate the life once lived by dead. And they celebrated with candy and food, which led to Halloween. The Druids just gave us all the little monsters like the witch, goblins, etc. You can't just rant on about how its about Satan. Halloween means "Holy Evening". There is nothing wrong with Halloween. Don't be so gullible as to think Halloween is Satan Day. It's just a Holiday.
Technically it came from harvest day for Irish backround. Europe celebrated or change it to its own ways. Like "Dia de los Muertos" and our Halloween (USA). But this day is associated with a lot of pagans actions and are contrary to Christian's beliefs. It is not the day this evil it is just how you apply it or do during the 31st of October.
I don't appreciate your "holier than thou" attitude towards this. You don't get your facts straight, then that's your problem. Just because you sacrilegious fools got your house T-peed on halloween doesn't make it of the devil. Why don't you complain about something else. You're the kind of people that give christians a bad name, and that's pretty disappointing. If it bothers you, keep it to yourself and chill out. I swear you people are so uptight that you can twist anything into what you want.
You need to get your facts straight. Halloween did come from Spain or Mexico it came form Northern Europe (Ireland) and it was not called Halloween. Like I said it was a day of Harvest and celebrating the dead. Also since when do you not see mischief on halloween, this day is abused by cults and several others for their practice. And if it bothers you that someone has a different view then go get a life. I did not say that Halloween is the "devil's day"

I attended a Pentecostal church that celebrated all holidays, including Halloween (not surprising, since the entire Pentecostal movement is corrupt). It's just bizarre that any Christian would think this garbage is alright to celebrate - it's based on their INABILITY to forfeit their own LUSTS, this is irrefutable
Garbage? There is absolutely no harm in fantasy, Halloween is meaningless fun and anything you've heard about its dark origins is an exaggerated urban legend. Open your eyes, lighten up and learn to enjoy world culture, it's not going to damn you to hell.
LOL...You are technicaly a heretic if you think that way, as you are granting Satan equal power with God. Halloween isn't Satanic. It's roots are pagan, but so is every other Christian holiday. So if you are anti-Halloween, then you should be anti-every other holiday or else it would make you a hypocrite. Then again, most religious nuts aren't too worried about being hypocrites.
What?

Halloween is British.
America turned into some kind of retail event and sold it the idea back claiming it as it's own.
Trick or treat is American and based on the tradition in Yorkshire called Mischief Night
