  • Funny how quickly people forget Gullich's solo.

  • @snowwaveag Heinz zack did it way before!

  • its cool to see how different huber and for example dean potter climbed the same line...two guys two different ways to get up!

  • NO EQUIPAMENTS -> Dean Potter and Osman.. and maybe others...

  • Wow!

  • the best!!!

  • his core strength must be unreal, like a gymnast

  • Sind einfach genial sportlich , hatten in Ihrer Wiege schon eine kleine Kletterwand im Himmel... so wie zu hause unterm Dach! :) Sehr schön und viele Grüße - beoland

  • if u never did climbing, its completely underrated, but if you try it once u will realize that this are the REAL heros of all sports!!

  • @KremsBeinhart well i thought about that and there are many oher heros as well, for example when it come to pure lunge and heart volume no one beats a rower!

  • @KremsBeinhart but i agree, that this is amaising!!

  • Bergfex

  • nice!!

  • It looks so easy and self-evident.

  • vor 15 Sekunden The route "Separate Reality" (VIII+/IX-) is 200 meters above groud. Climbing legend Wolfgang Güllich climbed it free-solo (without rope) in 1986. It took 19(!) years before Heinz Zak was the 2nd one to do this. Heinz was the photographer of Güllich’s climb. Wolfgang died in a car accident in 1992.

  • Güllich was ahead of his time and added several grades to the grading system. In fact, with the exception of Ben Moon's Hubble (the world's first 8c+), Wolfgang was responsible for 4 consecutive step-ups with the world's first 8b (Kanal Im Rücken , 1984), 8b+ (Punks In The Gym, Apr 1985), 8c (Wall street, 1987), and 9a (Action Directe, Aug 1991). Güllich also invented the modern training technique of campus boarding in order to climb Action Directe.

  • and Wolfgang Güllich did this climb free solo... still so much respect for him after so many years. RIP Wolfgang - you will be never forgotten

  • Great move at the end. COOL.

  • Ein Bayer halt....;)

  • legend

  • That's beautiful.

  • the new spiderman

  • crazy guy

  • How come he doesn't fall at 0.23?

  • look at what his right hand doing...

  • can't you see the sticky tape on his hands?

  • Amazing sequence!

  • beautiful climbing

  • so precise and soooo in control...If I am not mistaken that should be Separate Reality...but I could be wrong...

  • his technique is magnificent.

  • Climbers must have incredible core strength to move like they do on those rock faces. Amazing.

  • @wilsocn This is a common misbelief.

Of course the strength of a climber - like i am - is most often over the average.

Nevertheless this is not the most important thing. Up to a certain level of difficulty you can succeed with sheer power. This is what sometimes is called "Auffereißen" which could be translated as "ripping up".

Although this is possibly it's much more intelligent to not rely only on your muscles but to develope climbing technique, which is the main aspect to be successful.

  • TERMINATOR !

  • He almost looks bored near the end there. Wow.

  • That's one sick caveman climber scene....

  • That dude is incredible! x)
