Martha Raye was a great actress and comedian as well as a singer. She was way ahead of her time and had a great sense of humor. God bless her.. Her later years were rather sad. She was taken advantage of by her very much younger gay husband.

She sounds amazing. This recording was probably the first time I had heard Martha Raye sing & her voice is so rich & beautiful. Now I'm wondering what amazing outfit I'd like to be buried or cremated in.
Tallulah is so very funny - she reminds me of a good drag queen - icy, warm, sweetly sardonic, sultry and real !
