Dr Halsey created Cortana by flash copying her consciousness. On Reach they found the forerunner data bank underground. The Covenant were looking for it as they saw it as being holy. Dr Halsey uploads the data to Cortana then they destroy the data underground so the Covenant can't get it. Noble 6 takes Cortana to the Pillar of Autumn and basically Halo CE starts. But Cortana had been around for a while by the time of the events in the game.
@XUnsafeNormalX Cortana picked the Chief as her permanent companion way before the attack on Reach ever happened. Don't forget that the Chief was in a Cryotube at the time of the attack. She picked the best out the surviving Spartans to bring her to the Pillar of Autumn where she reunites with the Chief during the events of Halo Combat Evolved. :3

It seems that there is a lot of hate going on here and I am just saying that I think that PS3 and XBOX 360 are both good game systems and that I think Halo is an awsome game even though I have a PS3. I wished that Halo was multi platformed so that I could enjoy it's awsomeness to the extreme. Then again I am satisfied with the system I have because there are fun games on it. We all chose the system we want because its our choice on choosing that system.

Johnson's group was there when the chief woke up... Stacker's group was cvering Johnson's group and Reynold's group was gurading both them and got ambushed. So yeah, there were more than 6 marines in there.

Final Fantasy VII is a good example of this, its a really good game, but has way too much hype. Halo 1 is good, and 2 improved it but did not do that much, after that they just milked the series. As for best exclusive FPS, goldeneye, quake, doom, counterstrike? And if you are going for consoles goldeneye did what halo did long before its release.

Can anyone tell me how many marines are in this clip? At first there were only 4 + the 1 with Arbiter. But at the end, a 6th marine appeared. Where was the 6th marine standing?

@mochaguy22 I'm not quite sure, but the thing is that there were a total of three groups in this mission.
Sgt. Johnson, Sgt. Stacker and Sgt. Reynolds...
Johnson's group was there when the chief woke up... Stacker's group was cvering Johnson's group and Reynold's group was gurading both them and got ambushed. So yeah, there were more than 6 marines in there.

You know. Maybe the real reason why they don't want to give MC a face is it will 1. ruin the fact it is supposed to be you behind the helmet and 2. they will be flame wars over what he looks like and how that is not how he is supposed to look.

Fuck these youtube yappers! ha ha If you don't like Halo don't read the books and don't play the games! The only thing they are proving with their null comments is that they played the game on easy.
Beside shooting in modern warfare was easy, you put 2 bullets in and there dead. In halo you had drill brutes and elites with a barrage of bullets before they fell.
And Halo ODST was a freakin awesome game!

i've only played the first one and basically in all 3 your on different ringed worlds called Halo, you have to fight aliens called covenant and stop the flood. u can check wikipedia for more.

@johan861 I prefer Halo 1-3 because they give you this mystic feeling. The newest games seems like they are turning into a call of duty game.
To make it short: In the first one you made a blind jump with a ship and its crew and you
(you play a supersoldier) discover a secret ring world and then stranded on it, with an alien race hunting you. While you playing on Halo you find out the truth of it.

You will like it! I've finished the game so many times. So I don't get bored, which I don't. I play Halo, Halo 2, Max Payne, Max Payne 2, LOTR two towers, LOTR Return of the king, Demon stone, King Kong, BLACK, Half life 2, Scarface...etc I just jump from game to game, sometimes I finish the games again, if I get bored after a few days I play another game. lol I'm trying to get a Halo edition 360 just so I can "Finish the fight!" in Halo 3

movie isn't out yet. It's in what they call "development hell" which essentialy means some dumbass can't come up with a simple plot to make the movie. Two things can happen here. Either they will make the movie, or the whole plan is scrapped.

The part of being the best game I played is my personal oppinion, the part of being one of the best games, or at least the best Exclusive FPS of all time, well, me, the sales, the gamers, and the sites.

@Krirror Just because it sells well and has a lot of hype does not make it good, it could very well be overrated. Final Fantasy VII is a good example of this, its a really good game, but has way too much hype. Halo 1 is good, and 2 improved it but did not do that much, after that they just milked the series. As for best exclusive FPS, goldeneye, quake, doom, counterstrike? And if you are going for consoles goldeneye did what halo did long before its release.
