Please don't confuse phobia with a desire to share truth. Given that atheist liars have taken over most of the world's major media operations and public schools, very little of actual events are getting out. Those liberals have told you that nothing is wrong with homosexuality. First, consider the source before placing your entire life in the moral framework of deceitful Marxist liberals.
@randalusa yo if you don't like it then quit bitch en and don't watch it bro just cuz your a fucking Jesus freak (not saying i don't believe in god. i do) dosent mean we care about what you think. if you wanna hate go and fuck of (by the way im not gay ether but i do have homosexual people in my family and im OK with that but you have no fucking right to go to something that wants to help people feel better and fucking say its wrong and make them feel worse that's just not right bro.
Wow, fascinating! A pair of recent studies have shown that racists and those whose believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible generally have lower IQs. So, I guess it would surprise no one that the Bible happens to promote racism (and slavery) in both the Old and New Testaments. Even more unsettling should be the fact the 2 of the Bibles main characters, Moses & the Apostle Paul are the worst offenders. Hmmm.
I went to your highschool. We know each other, I'm a gay female two years below you. This was great. Really explained our school well. I remember two girls kissed once and it went around the whole school, and they were treated like freaks. I watched one of my best friends who is a gay male constantly be taunted and picked on at our school. Like you he didn't come out. The best thing I did was get out of that small town. Also, I love your Kate Bush vinyl in the background.

@ExplorationB Homosexuality is for the Sinners and they will all go to their firey graves one day unless they repent and come to Jesus for forgiveness of their sins. Want to know why the US economy is being destroyed etc then you need to look up what happened to the Roman Empire. Homosexuality started to spread in Rome like wildfire and it was not long after their Empire was destroyed . Homosexuality is a disease and a Sin which bursts forth through other Sins.
You're right: they don't care if you are gay or not. I've been through those ropes. Which is now WHY I stand up and lend yet another voice to the gay community.

I love vids like this beacuse it is a great place to troll on some dumbass faggots who feel so great when they defend you queers. Honestly, most trolls don't even hate gays, they just like to argue and seem so damn closed-minded.
Maybe queers wouldn't be persecuted so much if they 1) quit acting, dressing, and talking so damn weird 2) quit shoving their disgusting lifestyle down everyone's throats 3) quit trying to get straight people to go gay [YES, THIS HAPPENS] and 4) quit trying to make everyone give them special rights and privileges. Until then, they're just going to reap what they sow.
Maybe you queers wouldn't get picked on if 1. You quit dressing, acting, and talking so damn weird. (Example: Chris Crocker) 2. You quit trying to "convert" straight people. What, You have problems with your weight ? can´t believe it ! You look great and sporty and - if I were attracted to men - hey, I would like you to jump in my bed and . . . how ever.
my father just came out this past weekend my life has changed so much i still find it hard to believe after all these years he could keep it a secret from the world and after 25 years of marriage with out my mother knowing
Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.
A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption. Even non-religious people know this.
Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.
Yeah, I feel bad for my gay friend sometimes... He doesn't come out of the closet publicly because of his religion (Islam) and the fact that high school is no friendly zone for homosexuals.
~5% - victims who was infected from bisexuals. Today we have "gays" in schools...and this is BIG PROBLEM ...AIDS/HIV in SCHOOLS!!! What Future kids will have???? Condoms not protect from HIV!..HIV has 0.1micron...condom 5.0 micron!!!
If you have AIDS/HIV yours kids will have too...and not long life.
I dont know why America nothing tell about this problem?
i have to admit,in Highschool i pretend to be someone who i really am not,i have really low self esteem, and i've just have a horrible time,i even flunked on my grades,i failed 9th grade(now i'm in 11th grade although i'm supposed to be in 12),i only failed because i cutted class with them, people who never gave a fuck about me,lol my life sucks XD
why do you call it a phobia , its not fear its rejection and hate not a phobia , a person that fears dont want to beat you stupid , you may say that being gay is your choice so be it, but some times your types do ask for it saying stupid coments to us who are not gay and thats why we fuck you up , if you lived your lives without messing with others you would not invoque violence
Great video, very inspiring. One question though, how could you possibly be close friends with someone who ended up killing someone they suspected was gay if you're gay yourself? Confusing!
@playingwithdarkness He didn't know I was gay, I was closeted at the time - and this made it tougher for me to come out because I realised there were people out there who thought it was good enough reason to kill someone else.
I'm not gay, but I do have mild Asperger's! Been bullied in middle school & treated as an outcast in high school. All I can remember from middle school was crying and nasty rumors. I believe the problem with bullying is it needs to end for everyone (sexuality, disability, religious belief, etc)! I've always felt alone & depressed but things are better now that I go to college! And I still feel traumatized about middle school today!
@INightFireZI Just tell them you aren't interested. I mean I have girls hit on me and I think you will feel the same way I feel when girls are hitting on me. Just say "No Thanks" and pocket the tips. They will think you are gay but I doubt you will get 100s of guys falling over you. Maybe like 5 in total so just say no thanks and move onto the next customer, if they become persistant tell them to back off.
I have a question. What is the polite/ respectful way to deal with gay men when they are hitting on me. I am straight and not in anyway shape or form homophobic and do not wish to insult a gay person by accident. so please help me out cause in 3 weeks i will be working at a gay bar, being the food runner and i was told that these situations do occur where gay people end up hitting on other guys that may be straight.
Homophobic bullies are so obviously gay. I mean, people don't act so hateful or homophobic about gay people unless they have gay feelings themselves and are fighting against those feelings. Maybe they just never came to terms with their own sexuality. Maybe they never had strong, good parents to come out to. Maybe they grew up in a church that never gave the right answers? :l
The kids in highschool that make fun of gay people, actually make fun of everyone for any reason they can find. Bullies will call people gay even when someone legitimately isn't. Even if someone is gay it doesn't matter. Those kids are just straight up douchebags. Life as he said, gets 100% better in every way after high school.
Proud to be one of your co misfits ... that group helped me too i was lost at school till i found you guys ... and was also safe in the knowedge that if any one came to kick any of our asses they would have had a pile of freaks to contend with... WOO GO RETARD GROUP!!!

I escaped high school (*graduated) and forgot all of it and everybody. I never went back and never looked back. It will be 40 years ago in June, 2011, and I am still looking forward. :-))
I also made friends with misfits when I was in high school, and it made things a lot more bearable. College was great because ignorant folks tend not to make it that far :)
It's wonderful that you're making these vids. I'm sure you're helping a lot of young people get through the tough times.
I love you accent, I find it so adorably. (: I proud of the fact that you're helping other people with gay bullying. It sends a great message, to the youth around the world -<3
the one thing i love the most about the internet, is that information is so available these days. Help lines and such.. are so easy to find. Back in the day, if i needed to call anywhere, but couldnt write the number down, id be trying to remember the ad on tv.. with the jingle that went with the phone number, so i could sing it to myself, while dialing! :P
this was a great video! kudos to you for helping out and answering the questions! :)
You are so much better than those who bullied you.
- question .... Something that gets me is how fierce you look ... You are like 7 feet tall ... Did you have a growth spurt at uni? I can not reconcile someone like you taking anything from anyone.
@lairddouglas Nah I was pretty tall but awkward and a high school goth LOL so people grew scared of me when I was older like in my late teens, but I was nice and quiet and polite country boy so people took advantage of that. :-)
When you started talking about how you grew up experiencing homophobia, and how it affected you're appearance and self-esteem I could definitely relate.
Everyday my image is something that I have to question. Its messed up but its kind of an automatic thought that I can't control.
@TheAndyLoraProgram Your image is amazing, I think you are one of the most inspiring youtubers I know like Jas Avalon. As much as we had sucky school years I think it has helped us express ourselves as artists now. Sometimes good comes from the bad. xox
Regarding the question at 3:54 and your answer - for most of us, confidence comes with time. It comes as you increase awareness of who you are, and what really matters in your life. It took me until 33 to get to that point, and I applaud your honesty in your answer to this question EB.
Damn, it's videos like this that make me realise how lucky I was with my school life. I was the fat kid(still am) of my year at school and didn't really get bullied, there were a couple of obviously gay guys that I don't think had it that bad at school (who am I to judge though). I'm not sure if it is a big difference in culture, or an intelligence thing (I went to a grammar school, which required a test to get in). I'm glad that you managed to make it through Dan, and not end up as a statistic.
@breakingthisdown Just looked at it then. Made me think that when equal rights are given, I don't think we need to be thankful, just be happy the fight is over
When in high school I did care too much what people thought of me and wondered if they liked me or not. I had low self esteem at one time and had a lot of struggles throughout my life. Now I see it does not matter what others it and it only matters what I think. Great video once again your very good at talking about these serious topics as well as making entertainment videos.
Thanks for this video, I was looking forward to your next one!
But I don't understand why people would think ur ugly-- I think your very handsome
I NEED YOUR ADVICE
there is a guy that i met in one of my bands, and I really like him, and I reallyyyyyyy want to tell someone, but no one I know knows I'm gay. Should I tell my friend Meg?
my father was my abuser, and he used to call me fag stupid and ugly on a near daily basis. i still have issues with my looks and some confidence issues but i learned quickly that people are gonna like you for who you are, if they decided to be cruel then thats on them for wasting their time and life on something that doest really affect them in any way. im not always happy with my life but im not in the shadows where i thought i belonged.
Thanks. Your advice about looking to yourself for approval first before looking to others. I need to remember that one. The oppression of teenage bullying has a long shadow. I'm just really starting to deal with the rotting remains of it of it now at 48.
@rabbitfish63 It takes such a long time sometimes. I mean it took me till I was 30 to realise that school was so long ago - those ghosts no longer mattered :-)
@ExplorationB There's a lot of interesting work on the psychology of oppression and its lasting effects. Even though I grew into a fully functional adult, I came to realize I was spending too much time unhappy compared to the actual facts of my life. A metaphor I came up with recently is that I was able to paper over (with multiple layers) the damage that the closet and homophobia caused growing up. Now I'm trying to rip off the paper and rebuild the structure underneath.
Today on the news, i saw a story bout here in Mass the state did study on bullies... kids who are abused at home are 5 Times more likely to be a bully at school, also much more likely to commit suicide than kids who had a hapy homelife. Lets work on braking the cycle. it all starts at home.
I can relate.I was bullied for my weight.Eventually it got to the point where I became an angry person and decided to fight anyone that bothered me.It worked for the most part.By highschool no one bothered me.They made fun of other overweight people even around me,but not me.Everyone acted like my friend.Because of them I had become a quiet angry person when I'm around a lot of people, just waiting/ready to be attacked.By default Im goofy around friends and family. But those are the breaks i guess
@Jinxxed0 It's tough for our surroundings to affect us every day, chipping away. The trick I think is to find people and slowly build up a group you can rely on. Slowly but surely.
All I noticed was that hickey on your shoulder...unless it's a bruise. ;)
but fortunately, in my school, even though kids made fun of me by calling me gay, they eventually just eased on out of it, each year I heard it less and less which was odd to me, but a good thing. I'm glad you were able to find your niche growing up with kids that accepted you because now you can tell people how things actually get better without saying "hey...it gets better" but I think you're amazing and just perfect!
It makes me sad how here in the United States, just as people are becoming more and more accepting of those who are not like themselves, super conservative groups start pushing harder to keep the LGBT community in the dark. I think it was Maggie Gallagher (president of the National Organization for Marriage) who said that the world would be a better place if every gay person followed in the footsteps of the many gay teens who committed suicide recently.
@TheGayVlog I know - and I think there lies the true bullies. It just shows the lack of education of such biggots. One day they will fade away... one day
I posted a video awhile ago on It Gets Better and I talked about the fights I got in high school defended the kids, the underdogs, that got picked on aka gays, small kids, "the geeks, ect". i got in my share of trouble because of it but I refused to back down. No one knew I was one of the underdogs too. To this day I can't stand a bully which are usually cowards. From writing evil pathetic stuff online to physical harm, we need to all stand up together and expose them and stop the cowards.
@RickOnEarth There is an amazing rise in online bullying, when I started going online and getting web pages back in the 90s it was the nerds domain and now everyone is using it - not always for the greater good. You know - I am sure those kids now have great memories of you as adults. :-D
@calicurajim Totally, and a lot has changed since the mid 90s. I mean we didn't really know what gay was - there was no Will and Grace, Queer as folk or anything like that. It's nice that there are changes now.
Amazing....you are awesome at talking about this so that people feel like you have been there done that. I think you are amazing. If you're ever in Dallas, TX....hit me up. I'd love to meet you in person. Stay sweet <3
@SugarInHisBlood I could see that! I would be scared of ya lol kidding. Yeah there was a little more to it than just that but it was a weird time in my life. I was always nervous when I got letters from him from jail.

AIDS/HIV infection:
~50% - gays(men)
~35% - lesbians(women)
~10% - bisexuals.
If you have AIDS/HIV yours kids will have too...and not long life.

why do you call it a phobia , its not fear its rejection and hate not a phobia , a person that fears dont want to beat you stupid , you may say that being gay is your choice so be it, but some times your types do ask for it saying stupid coments to us who are not gay and thats why we fuck you up , if you lived your lives without messing with others you would not invoque violence

Great video, very inspiring. One question though, how could you possibly be close friends with someone who ended up killing someone they suspected was gay if you're gay yourself? Confusing!
playingwithdarkness 7 months ago 7
@playingwithdarkness He didn't know I was gay, I was closeted at the time - and this made it tougher for me to come out because I realised there were people out there who thought it was good enough reason to kill someone else.

@playingwithdarkness I felt like asking that question myself. I got totally confused.

ExplorationB 8 months ago 2
I have a question. What is the polite/ respectful way to deal with gay men when they are hitting on me. I am straight and not in anyway shape or form homophobic and do not wish to insult a gay person by accident. so please help me out cause in 3 weeks i will be working at a gay bar, being the food runner and i was told that these situations do occur where gay people end up hitting on other guys that may be straight.
INightFireZI 8 months ago

@lairddouglas Nah I was pretty tall but awkward and a high school goth LOL so people grew scared of me when I was older like in my late teens, but I was nice and quiet and polite country boy so people took advantage of that. :-)

Thanks. Your advice about looking to yourself for approval first before looking to others. I need to remember that one. The oppression of teenage bullying has a long shadow. I'm just really starting to deal with the rotting remains of it of it now at 48.
rabbitfish63 10 months ago
@rabbitfish63 It takes such a long time sometimes. I mean it took me till I was 30 to realise that school was so long ago - those ghosts no longer mattered :-)
ExplorationB 10 months ago
@ExplorationB There's a lot of interesting work on the psychology of oppression and its lasting effects. Even though I grew into a fully functional adult, I came to realize I was spending too much time unhappy compared to the actual facts of my life. A metaphor I came up with recently is that I was able to paper over (with multiple layers) the damage that the closet and homophobia caused growing up. Now I'm trying to rip off the paper and rebuild the structure underneath.
rabbitfish63 10 months ago
@rabbitfish63 It's taking that all apart that takes a very long time. Nice analogy

Jinxxed0 10 months ago
@Jinxxed0 It's tough for our surroundings to affect us every day, chipping away. The trick I think is to find people and slowly build up a group you can rely on. Slowly but surely.
ExplorationB 10 months ago
All I noticed was that hickey on your shoulder...unless it's a bruise. ;)
but fortunately, in my school, even though kids made fun of me by calling me gay, they eventually just eased on out of it, each year I heard it less and less which was odd to me, but a good thing. I'm glad you were able to find your niche growing up with kids that accepted you because now you can tell people how things actually get better without saying "hey...it gets better" but I think you're amazing and just perfect!
Brandonality 10 months ago
@Brandonality Thanks mate! I think everyone is an amazing creature. I'm glad it eventually died away (your gay calling)
ExplorationB 10 months ago
It makes me sad how here in the United States, just as people are becoming more and more accepting of those who are not like themselves, super conservative groups start pushing harder to keep the LGBT community in the dark. I think it was Maggie Gallagher (president of the National Organization for Marriage) who said that the world would be a better place if every gay person followed in the footsteps of the many gay teens who committed suicide recently.
TheGayVlog 10 months ago
@TheGayVlog I know - and I think there lies the true bullies. It just shows the lack of education of such biggots. One day they will fade away... one day
ExplorationB 10 months ago
I posted a video awhile ago on It Gets Better and I talked about the fights I got in high school defended the kids, the underdogs, that got picked on aka gays, small kids, "the geeks, ect". i got in my share of trouble because of it but I refused to back down. No one knew I was one of the underdogs too. To this day I can't stand a bully which are usually cowards. From writing evil pathetic stuff online to physical harm, we need to all stand up together and expose them and stop the cowards.
RickOnEarth 10 months ago
@RickOnEarth There is an amazing rise in online bullying, when I started going online and getting web pages back in the 90s it was the nerds domain and now everyone is using it - not always for the greater good. You know - I am sure those kids now have great memories of you as adults. :-D
