  • Some zoom shots on Steve Walsh might have been a good thing!

  • @STEVEMOR909 If he were playing the bass I made I would have ;-)

  • Nice...I see a soldano head

  • great vid. i love getting to hear that bass through the in-ears every show. it is smokin!!!

  • Your bass turned out beautifully. Thanks for the vids.

  • So you made that bass and Billy Greer of Kansas is playing it live, and you're there recording it from the front row? Epic win, dude! That's got to be one of the best rock fan stories ever.

  • @RCAvhstape I thought it was a good story. In fact, I haven't come back to earth yet! I'm gonna print out your comment and frame it on the wall :-)

  • @TomKatCustom It is an epic win in all respects, no doubt about that. Congrats to you and Billy both. :-)

  • Cool cool cool. What a cool story. And beautiful craftsmanship on the bass.

  • David ragsdale is quite possibly the best violinist in the world.

  • @fraroc I have to lean towards my sister-in-law Alicia DeJoie of @Moraine as my candidate for that title, but David Ragsdale is an awfully close second. ;-)

  • @davidroygaines Besides Kerry Livgren's songwriting, David Ragsdale coming to the band was the best thing to ever happen to Kansas.

  • @fraroc Roger that. It's a totally different level with him in the band.

  • @davidroygaines I mean Robby wasn't bad, but he's more of a frontman/ singer that can play violin. David is a true violinist. He takes the violin very seriously. And he's not to shabby of a guitarist either! He nails the rhythm parts on Carry On Wayward Son very well!

I can't imagine Kansas without a violinist let alone accept that they toured for about 6 years without one!! Rags didn't come into the picture until 1991.

  • @fraroc EVer heard anything from his solo CD?Sounds very much like early 70's Kansas.

  • what lens you use for this shot?

  • @dukecl I used the 18-55mm VR that came with it.

  • @TomKatCustom ...Thanks, I bought this camera and is on its way....tle lens is great...then.

  • We were in row 20...was a great show! Mother nature even provided a short light show as Tull was finishing up.

  • Great seat, did you get any of Jethro Tull?

  • @tomphotery1 That wasn't a seat - I had a Kansas photo pass and was up on the rail with the security guys. The rule there for shooting Jethro Tull there was Do NOT Shoot Jethro Tull.

  • @tomphotery1 I see you shot some Jethro Tull - Cool. Looks like your seats were just below ours. We were row 17.
