sh03a will never have unlocked version, u can use it in US with i-smartphone hybersim (sim black with circle chip) and insert it together with your U.S SIM (T-Mobile / AT&T)

NTTDocomo didnt lock multimedia like SoftBank

@MangoxxJ yes this phone has two languages. Japanese and English. I'm pretty sure you can get more languages on there if you change the softwear or something, because i've known people that has chinese on it. but it doesn't come with the phone

i'm pretty sure it can't. like most japanese phones, it ony accepts midi files, i think. you might wanna double check on that though

iNEX hypersim are the best ones for Japanese phones.

ya, phone ended up coming with the inex. after a few cpr's, phone worked great for a good 12 hours, before crapping out, and now not even a regular phone can read any SIM when the inex is in there.

Then i think your iNEX card is either problem or the sim slot that reads the sim card in your Jap phone is broken.

sorry, i meant a regular phone CANT read read the sim with the inex there. if i put in my sim w/o the hypersim in the docomo, it detects it but doesnt recognize it.

just saying, its some wierd stuff thats all.

from my experience that means your inex card is broken. what version is your card?

says 2.0. on the card. couldve been updated, who knows. it came with the phone. but besides the breaking, i really have to say that i was quite impressed at the speed it unlocked it at.

you might need to buy a new iNEX card i think if you still want to use your Jap phone

inex hypersim = US, canada, parts of europe, australia.

Mr. Sim Hypersim = dominant in China, parts of asia continent.

there are other but i haven't test test them out yet in us.

i dont mind if you have negative reviews of this phone. this is why i put the videos review up so that people could comment what they like or not like about this phone. As well as it is phone related then it is ok with me.

But for people that buy jap phones. The main reason is usually for looks and camera. you shouldnt expect too much of this phone because it wont be able to perform full functions outside of japan anyways.

I just found out that SH-03A don't have front CMOS camera for 3g phone conference. SH-01A and SH-02A do have CMOS cam in front. Ultimately, SH-01A is the best choice in Sharp line. But Panasonic is better, P-01A (quite rare and expensive (700US+) and P-03A ^^.

ok, first of all, if you thinking of buying japanese phone, you must have interest and tried of US phones. Mostly, your buying jap phone for the look, as for features that comes with the phone, rather useless, like unlocklinks said, its all up to individuals preference.

its really depends on your preference. I have sold a lot already and no one have complain so far. People should expect an amazing touch panel for this phone. this is not suppose to be a touch screen phone. just think of it as an extra feature on it. Dont think of it as an iPhone or something. It is a ridiculous comparison.

to compare to other modele, its slow, and if you go again in the shop to test it, try the video with the touch panel, and try to slide this ridiculus zoom bar...its just insane that they sale it!!!

i bought it...i regret......the zoom is really bad to handle when you take a video...the touch panel managment is really uncertain, slow and just BAD! THANKS SHARP!!! and the stupid staff of DOCOMO yodobashi camera sapporo!!!

If its that bad, i minus well get the P-01A (Prime Serires). due to the fact that you can take awesome picture on dark environment, 2way keyboard, auto flip on the side, 5.2 (5.1 effective)megapixel camera and PLAIN AWESOME! in white ^^
