First time I saw Enterprise i thought it was shite. However after giving it a second chance I watched every episode from first to last season. Bloody brilliant. Give it a chance people.
Enterprise WAS Trek. I thought it was the best Trek since TOS. I'm liking the show more now in re-runs now just like TOS too. Really.. Enterprise deserves a second look.
I actually *love* Faith of the Heart. The lyrics were written by Diane Warren, one of the best songwriters of all time.
But...I like your version also. You are right, the grand, military march theme goes well with Star Trek, which has been noted for it's Naval/Horatio Hornblower roots.
Just one nitpick; why is it everytime someone does a remix, Anthony Montgomery's credit gets lost??
Ah, I see, and you're right, Jolene Blalock's is also missing.
Me personally, I really do like this version of the intro. And I like your clip selection also. Who was the guy smiling with the rocket flame. I don't know how you got that effect but, man, was it hot!
The song is too MOR and just doesn't 'fit' in my view. In going for a 'safe' (tame, unoffensive, mid tempo, bland) they alienated me (and others who don't normaly listen to this kind of stuff).
I didn't meen to upset you with the coments about the song, they were made as a reply to a rude poster, it's just not to MY liking, and that's why I made the thing in the first place.
Some people love it, but for me it just grates. Orchestral stuff seems to be 'it' for SciFi ever scince Kubrick. Anything else tends to be a bit lame and feels dated almost immediately. Babylon 5's synthesiser/orchestra mix will sound dated much faster than a 'straight' orchestral score. Syth sounds and technology are improved so fast!
Thanks for your kind comment. I still don't like 'that song' (which is why I did this in the first place). I seem to remember struggling a bit for decent shots of the NX-01.
LMAO Judge Dredd!

Enterprise wasn't really Trek, so stop saying it is.

In this case it's just random.
I was going for the titles feel, and not worrying about the 'graphics'.
That's why he's not the only person missing. If they're on a 'dull' shot, or a shot that needed taking out for pacing then they're gone.
As well as names missing, I was not worried about the scribble graphics either. My stuff is easy to spot as the scribble is missing.

It's supposed to be Khrushchev leader of the soviet union when Gagarin demonstrated the US's 'rocket lag'.
It's 'found footage' from The Right Stuff.

Yes it is. Good spot!In the movie it's mostly hidden under dialogue.

Judge Dredd. It's used under dialogue at the end of the film.

This is great stuff! I'm going to post it on my blog. I asked earlier in August, but now I have time to do it.
Cheers!

Why do Trekkies have such a problem with the concept of a song FFS?
JackTraven2525 5 years ago
I'm sorry you didn't like my stuff.
It's not just "Trekkies"!
Many people (including "Trekkies") dislike syrupy trite crap songs.
For example I know you will find this hard to believe but not all people like Celine Dion's work.
portland182 5 years ago
Oh yes, songs (written in English) tend to be very regional, and are not altogether inclusive for people who don't speak English.
Instrumental title scores don't have this problem!

Yeah. Much better. "That Song" is a travesty.

Thanks! It's easy to spot 'my' stuff as it has no scribble over it!
