Fucking hell, this is a tad hard hitting. Been functioning fine on Tramadol for 5 years (UK here) and never fucked up. It's just withdrawals that suck, and I'm prescribed it.
I know someone who started taking tramadol to help get off opiates and he ended up getting hooked on tramadol and he said it was like speed. When he stopped taking them, he said he had twitches, tremors, and felt like he was going crazy in his mind. Id rather come off pills with sweats and diareha than to be twitching and shit.
I was never really addicted to it I'd just do it once a week but my body is sensitive to drugs and for some reason whenever I took 400mgs I'd be so happy and completely out of it for a whole day. Which is weird cause it usually doesn't get people high. Personally riding the tram is better to me than most drugs used recreationally. Except coming down is hell
If you get hooked on Tramadol, then you have bigger problems than drugs. Morphine, Vicodin, heroin, Oxycontin -- those are real opiates that will hook you almost instantly. I've had the first 2, and could see anyone getting hooked on those with ease. But if you can get hooked on Tramadol when taking it as prescribed, then the drug is the symptom, and whatever is in your mind is the real problem. And if you are abusing it, then you're just a drug addict, and Tramadol is not the problem, you are.
try taking codine/ morphine then you will see addiction. tramadol is so weak its so easy to come off, all you need to do is find the good that used to be in your life grip onto it with both hands and don't let go.
and just to say (i have been addicted to tramadol and am not slatting people for being addicted to it) ALL IM SAYING IS THROW THEM AWAY GIVE IT 3 DAYS AND YOU WILL BE FINE! we were not put on this earth to walk around with a high hase buzz 24/7
@TheNickl333 Some people it can take up to like 3 weeks to get over the withdrawals. Seems like certain people don't react the same as others when it comes to tramadol. In my experience in the past, I had a HUGE opiate tolerance.. and tramadol was the one that always hit me the hardest. The withdrawals were always the worst too. I have a friend who can take 30 of them and barely even feel them. It really depends on the person.. But I do agree w you on THROWING THEM AWAY

@numberoneplayerhater Depends on the panel of drug test they use. They can test for tramadol specifically. It's actually a controlled substance in some states. Just a matter of time before it becomes a controlled substance all around. A lot of people say it's "weak" but the fact of the matter is, it depends on the person and how they process it. Don't drink with them they are slow release so the effects come on slowly and you won't realize you've had too much. They make me stay awake but feel comfortable, sometimes itchy and relaxed... I started off with 400mg then boosted up to 900mg - 1200mg p/day. This is just while got other meds sorted then i stopped taking them. Would not recommend this dose to anyone have seen seizures from tramadol misuse.

@Midgedear Dude, soooo many people are ignorant on this subject. It has NOTHING to do with it being "weaker" than other "real" drugs. It ALL depends on the person. I have a HUGE opiate tolerance yet tramadol is the one that gets me the highest out of EVERYTHING including oxy. In fact, oxy doesn't do shit for me even in very high doses. I've known people who LOVE tramadol and it's their drug of choice even over things like oxy and morphine and then i've known people who it has zero effect on

@themaster862 Slowly, and I repeat slowly, reduce your consumption. For example you "know someone" who takes 5 pills per day. Start by reducing to 4.5 pills per day for a week. Week number two, reduce to 4 pills per day. Keep reducing until you are taking nothing. Also, be prepared for some withdrawl pains and sickness. This can be the most difficult part.
This is my first time hearing of tramadol cause my new doctor just perscribed them to me. Since this medicine is new to me I like to research it before I take it. These videos are scaring me. Hi save316. I've been prescribed it also - last week. I ran out of tramadol yesterday - I saved one left which I just took. But I feel like I am dying at the moment (from cutting down from 6 pills to 1) I didnt realise there would be huge withdrawels.

I've been medically prescribed this stuff for 2 years now, and I certainly don't want people going and getting it banned because they decide to abuse it.. Its a fucking strong drug, but a useful one. If I don't take my tablets, my backs in agonising pain.. So don't abuse it people.

I was addicted to this stuff about 9 months ago. Now I have a coworker who is coming off of three months of the stuff. It's a nightmare to quit, but weening usually helps...took me almost a month to feel normal again. No bueno.
@Mikeanglo i find tramadol to be more addicting than morphine. i can get through morphine withdrawals in 3-4 days it took 9 to 12 to get over that crap it is narcotic it shuld be labled A-synthetic morphine. i wuld rather take lortabs than tramadol.
@Mikeanglo Oh shit how much were you taking and how long were you taking it cuz I hav been takin it for about 3 years and for about the last year I have been taking 16 of the 50 mg ones a day cuz I get 240 a month but also have been buying someone else's script who also gets 240 but he only gives me between 180 - 200 of em at a time. I tried weening myself but I start going so insane in such a bad way if I take any less that I find it really hard to take any less then 14 - 16 of em a day.
@RubberMallet16 Do yourself a favor if you wanna get off of em. Have a doctor switch you to something like vicodin to get you over the withdrawals from the tramadol.
After a month or so; Get yourself some Kratom powder (you can buy it online) and a gel cap machine to take them. Start weening yourself off the vicodin and taking the kratom instead.
Eventually you can ween yourself off the kratom. That's how I got off the junk. Tramadol is the worst withdrawal you could through besides heroin.
@Mikeanglo Holy shit, I've never seen a comment more true than yours. You said it EXACTLY like it is. Tramadol doesn't hit everyone the same but for those of us that it DOES hit hard, it's the worst because we get addicted to it and you are correct, it's worse than any other opiate i've ever come off of. The switch to vicodin and then kratom is exactly what I've done before. Works like a charm. Kratom completely helps you bi-pass any opiate withdrawal (in my experience)

I'll say it again for others to see; But I advise you get your doctor to put you on another pain killer like vicodin for a month and if you really decide to quit; Switch to kratom powder...which you can buy online. You can use a gel cap filler machine to take them.
It's never going to be easy quitting opiates...but you wont get the tramadol withdrawal this way.
@Mikeanglo Yes, I know all about Kratom. I don't take anything anymore actually (not even Kratom) but I agree, Tramadol withdrawal is one of the worst withdrawals. It also acts as an SSRI so the depression is a LOT worse

@grettagrids sadly im on the same boat as you. I started taking it when I hurt my back in 2006. At first just a few a day, it was a great clean high that motivated me and gave me purpose in life. I even started lookin down on people who do other drugs thinking Im better then them.That was then, now Im shell of my former self and im up to 20 to 30 pills on my days off from work. about 5 to 6 pills on the days i do work. And that's just to conserve them, if i didn't work i would do or more a day.
@jam714 I got on them bastards again craving them, moved to AZ seeking homeopathic treatment and getting the help I need here from a freind who has dealt with addicts in crisis.
I've just started these... funnily enough (or not funny really but..) I also damaged my back in 2006 and have been searching for effective pain relife since.

this is the best drug ever onley thing is its ez to od on it and you have to drink lots of water. also after you take it for a long time you will have to take high dosage and will become sick from it if takeing to long with out takeing a few days off of it for f or the days off just take ketaprofin or wiskey or both if you have a good liver.

Tramadol doesn't hit everyone the same but for those of us that it DOES hit hard, it's the worst because we get addicted to it and you are correct, it's worse than any other opiate i've ever come off of. The switch to vicodin and then kratom is exactly what I've done before. Works like a charm. Kratom completely helps you bi-pass any opiate withdrawal (in my experience)

@halo7982 For real. Tramadol withdrawal is terrible. Worse than any real opiate medication.
I'll say it again for others to see; But I advise you get your doctor to put you on another pain killer like vicodin for a month and if you really decide to quit; Switch to kratom powder...which you can buy online. You can use a gel cap filler machine to take them.
It's never going to be easy quitting opiates...but you wont get the tramadol withdrawal this way.

@Mikeanglo Yes, I know all about Kratom. I don't take anything anymore actually (not even Kratom) but I agree, Tramadol withdrawal is one of the worst withdrawals. It also acts as an SSRI so the depression is a LOT worse

sadly I am addcited and have been on it for 8 yrs:( saw a PAIN DOC and getting a spinal cord stimulator. using lidocaine patches right now and weaning off. I HAD ENOUGH OF THE FOGGINESS!!

@grettagrids sadly im on the same boat as you. I started taking it when I hurt my back in 2006. At first just a few a day, it was a great clean high that motivated me and gave me purpose in life. I even started lookin down on people who do other drugs thinking Im better then them.That was then, now Im shell of my former self and im up to 20 to 30 pills on my days off from work. about 5 to 6 pills on the days i do work. And that's just to conserve them, if i didn't work i would do or more a day.

@jam714 I got on them bastards again craving them, moved to AZ seeking homeopathic treatment and getting the help I need here from a freind who has dealt with addicts in crisis.

this is the best drug ever onley thing is its ez to od on it and you have to drink lots of water. also after you take it for a long time you will have to take high dosage and will become sick from it if takeing to long with out takeing a few days off of it for f or the days off just take ketaprofin or wiskey or both if you have a good liver.
