I have the old rcx mindstorms system, it may be an illusion but it seems that the old mindstorms set involved more lego bricks, wheels, and gears.

where did you get those large gears? i built one out of just one nxt set and am surprised that two motors can move and steer a quadruped with a third motor, nxt brick and all sensors aboard!

I got them from another Technic set. Actually, this dog uses only two motors. The tail moves because of one of the walking motors.
