LAWL at the FAILED attempt to put Free Staters into a "Free Speech Zone"

I wonder how the idea of a free speech "zone" would have gone over in the Boston streets in the early parts of our republic? I don't like this idea of state-"accepted" free speech, that free speech is something the state "accepts" or not, at their discretion. It's not the state's place to accept it or not accept it, it's our right to protest and our right to speak freely, and the state has no choice in the matter. I'd prefer to say this event was "un-bothered" or "un-molested".
