I travel 3500 miles from Wales Uk every year to Belmar with my family, we all love it and think it's the best place on earth. Thank goodness there are still rental properties available for us. We also like watching the young people party and have never been bothered by them. We were all young once!

It's not about keeping vacationers from having fun, it's about insuring they don't do it in a manner that infringes on the quality of life for the rest of us. I had to clear empty beer bottles off my lawn all the time, saw guys pissing in my bushes and even found 2 people having sex on my porch. Have all the fun you want folks, just be a little respectful of the neighborhood and it's residents.

Could it be that referring to human beings as "animals" is illegal for a government to do? Or could it be that facts are being inferred that are untrue--calling people animals and not giving the details, such as talking on a porch, for example. The town calls people names, but then does not give the reason WHY they are animals!
The point that was glossed over was that only two people talking on a porch is considered animal behavior by the town. A summons is issued, a hearing for the talking is conducted by the town's own selected officer, and the house is then labeled, animal house. You would then conjure up all the bad things that happen in the movie, and then want to avoid the entire town and take your kids to the next beach. What a shame--their property values are trashed and a slew of houses are sitting unsold!
Why don't they just put up a big billboard saying "FAMILIES DON'T STOP HERE--THIS TOWN IS TOO SCARY FOR KIDS!" It is obvious they are trying to attract the riff raff they say they don't want.
