I just sit through all 3 of these videos and hardly seen anything of how they make their cymbals. If i wanted to see " Zildjian: A trip down memory lane" i would have done research on that. This wasn't a " factory tour." Sabians' factory tour video's were much better. They actually went into the factory and you got see how their cymbals were made and it was very interesting. I love Zildjian cymbals but these videos sucked IMO.

I am a fan of Zildjian cymbals but i also like some of the Paiste stuff as well. I think Sabian is the more innovative company hands down but nothing of Sabian really impresses me. Anyway...with that being said i thought this entire video was very boreing. There just wasn't much seen in the way they make their cymbals. They spent way to much time talking about the past. The Sabian factory tour videos were MUCH better.

Well, maybe you shuold try looking at parts 1 and 2 of this tour. There's the cymbal production part.

I did watch watch the other two videos. And it was the samething in all three. They spent more time talking about the past than actually giveing you a "factory tour". The Sabian factory tour vidoes were much better and felt more like a tour of the shop. I wanted to see a Zildjian factory tour not sit through a history lesson. There was very little shown in all three videos that showed anything going on in the factory.

There's a video from the "how it's made" series showing Zildjians full production. Sabian and Zildjian essentially use the same process, but Zildjians manufacturing technologies are about 20 years ahead of Sabian. For example Sabian still uses the old box style ovens to head the bronze castings, where Zildjian as you see from the video uses the auto loader and the rotational oven.
