This is interesting because I have always wondered how Michael Dempsey would have played this song had he been in The Cure. I think he was involved in the early stages of this song before he left The Cure. They used to play some songs from 17 Seconds before they actually made an album. This was just before Michael left the group. Bizarrely, this album is also Michael's favourite album, now but back then according to Robert he didn't like any songs on it!

@ajittffcure There are some tapes with Michael playing this song. His bassline is basically the same as Simon played in studio.
