Have you noticed that Kansas City is featured in 2 hit series on television? The 1st series is called ( The 1st 48 ) it plays on A&E, it's about murders. Kansas City is also featured on A&E, it's called Kansas City Swat. From what I saw on tv, I have a very, very good chance of going to Kansas City to buy large amounts of drugs and I also have a great chance of being murdered in Kansas City. You don't have to believe me, just look at the facts, facts don't lie, nor do numbers, nor do my eyes
this song is a classic. the driving beat, the droning one note in the background is so cool. now you know where SRV got some of his playing style from if you just listen to that beat, RELENTLESS!!!!
I agree opinions vary but, I like the fast lane. I been to NY, met many nice people and met some not so nice. Knowing you could meet a famous person on the streets, or the love of your life, or get murdered at anytime is priceless, I love NY.
good lord, technicalities, its a good song,a fun song!!!loved it as I was growing up in the 70's, lifted my spirits, conected me to my mom and dad, danced, sang!!!
hehe i really do hate that adolescents like my age(14) dont really like classics... almost all my friends think that im a freak...but i don't care:D great song
Where on earth is Fat's Domino? Sorry but I like that version much better. This is still good though, reminds you of a better time. lol I am only 20...good ole fashioned music baby.
that guitar solo was ahead of its time back then! Damn good stuff!! Sounds like a Fender Tele!

I like this song but, Kansas City is not even close to being on the level of New York, not in a million years.
