when I worked in retail there was a group of women who tried to get over on the newer employees and try to get coupon ovverides like this but I always stepped in and corrected the situation and alerted my manager because after a certain amount you could lose your job

she always seems to have these high amount coupons. these are fraudulent and i hope she gets arrested for coupon fraud. coupon fraud hurts us all.

This is so dumb .. this lady makes me so mad. I have been couponing for a long time, but because of people like this every last coupon i used has to be closely examined now because they think everyone is using counterfeit coupons. but in the defense of the cashier .. i worked at target and i waited on women just like her. they're rude and demanding and she probably just wanted the lady out of there. there's an accept anyway button for coupons, if someone is that annoying it's necessary to press.

Ok first of all just because the coupon may have a pic of shave cream or such does not mean that is all you can buy with it, READ THE COUPON FINE PRINT it tells you what is allowed in the purchase and what is not. But if she is committing fraud then that is wrong and giving other extreme coupon people a bad name. Not all of use abuse the system, some of use the couponing as a way to help our families survive. or to give to those who do not have

omg... this lady came to my job today... she was in the lane next to mine... she was in line for lik 30 mns... spent lik 500 bucks paid only lik 30$.. i always watch extreme couponing but i nevet sawsoneone do that in real life. she was telling other customers that she was on the show on tlc..

Either the cashier is retarded or she is in on the scam. Why does she keep accepting coupons for which the items are not in her transaction? What were the $10 dollar coupons for?

Most Target stores limit guests to a reasonable family purchase. They would never allow her to purchase 18 of any item with coupons.

Something is wrong with this lady -- I noticed that even before people accusing her of coupon fraud... I noticed it on the show. In my opinion this lady suffers from psychological self worth issues. @Begbucks She is using the wrong coupons for the items. She matches up the manufacturers (Shick, etc) and uses coupons for say razors on another shick product.

@iwusinger But isn't that an honest mistake which Miss Kirlew is accused of committing? Which works on the principle that a handful of coupons are passed, perhaps due to laziness they are offered & not selected item specific & left to the cashier/laser to determine acceptance? Granted I'm a coupon newbie but that's how I use the one's I have. I dump a gob on the tablette & leave the decisive selection with the cashier. If it rings it should be alright.

if she's at fault, so is the checker who is supposed to be looking at what they scan. Anytime I use a coupon, my Target looks at the entire coupon very closely to make sure it's a legit coupon and that i've actually bought the item! Shame on them all

I work as a cashier at Target myself and there is one regular couponer that tries to commit fraud right as we close. we all know what she does and I NEVER accept her coupons unless I know she is using them for the right items.

Watching this really aggravates me. I watched her on the TLC show Extreme Couponing and was really impressed with her, but after learning that she commits fraud pisses me off. I'm all for get items free and using tons of coupons, as long as you do it legally. I work hard to get good deals using coupons, but would never do it illegally. I can't believe she teaches people to do what she does. People like her will ruin it for those doing it legit

wow. this was really disturbing. the cashier blatantly overrides the coupons that pop up as invalid (almost all of them) so its also partially the cashier's fault that she gets away with stealing from the store.

I am a very careful to ALWAYS have the right product, size etc..to match the Q and at target I have had to more than once pull my products from the bag to show I had the correct item and then the cashier would have to over ride the register. But she is definately commiting fraud and she should be ashamed of herself!!

OMG, as cashier, you are required to LOOK at the coupon, not automatically over ride..... And this is rediculous, you can't use coupons like that legittly. That's not how the system works. I guarentee that Shick coupon was on the razor or cartridge only. I coupon all the time and if I can get something for free I will...like if the coupon doesn't exclude trial size but if it spesifys a certain product or size I respect that....this is so not okay

The cashier has gotta be in on it too. If you notice it's the same cashier who told her how much of the item was in stock with the scanner and the same cashier handled the second transaction toward the end of the video.

@MrHopechild What she does is she goes around the store using coupons for legit deals to make it look like she's doing nothing wrong and then she uses coupons on other stuff from the same manufacture so they scan. Basically it would be the same of using a $10 crest toothbrush coupon on $2/3 toothpaste or $5 off scrubbing bubbles on $2 windex. They will scan most of the time and she walks out with deals through coupon fraud.

@MrHopechild I'm not an "extreme couponer" but the most blaringly obvious case of fraud is with the windex. That bottle of windex sells for like less than $3. Windex has NEVER offered a $5 off coupon for that product because it would never cost that much. The $5 coupon was probably for something else much more expensive. Like a cleaning tool. But because the barcode doesn't distinguish the products, she uses them on anything.

@MrHopechild using so many coupons that stores PAY you after the coupons, is a crime. you can't buy something for $1.00 and and get $4.00. what she does (and what you can see easily on her extreme couponing episode) is uses coupons with the same family code. she'll use fiberone coupons on cheerios cereal b/c the family code lets it go through... unavoidably. she buys so much that the cashiers are unable to catch it. it's illegal... no joke. she used to teach or something for a coupon...

@MrHopechild ...site and they have since released her b/c she coupons illegally.  it's not different than throwing some of that in her purse and walking out the door. technically, it's probably worse. i'd bet any money the windex coupon was for any windex OUTDOOR or starter kit or something. not a simple bottle of windex.
