If you buy it from Hp website you can customize it. I have the biggest Video card but I could have increased the Cpu but i ran out of funds.

I bought one last year and its not too bad too carry. I have the High Roller Laptop case that is basically a backpack so that helps a lot.. I work on A tug boat(7&7) so it gets moved at least once a week. It weighs like 15 pounds so Its not ideal for college kids.

I think Im getting the HDX 16 with 2.24GHz,4G,9600M GT 512M, You think Its possible to play crysis like that? well not exactly like that since you have the 8800GTS but the HDX16 is the son of the dragon right? :P

Yes it is possible, play it in dx9, do no t forget to install the 1.2 patch. Great computer, the only problem is that it comes whit a lot of crap software running undergroud. I did a clean install of Vista 64 sucking the drivers from the windows.old folder. Good luck!!

tks, Yeah Vista comes full of crap, I am used to it hehe. I was thinking, Did you ever try to connect the laptop with an HD TV LCD/Plasma screen with an HDMI connector? I am not sure if you can but it would be cool to play games on a 32" LCD. I have seen HDX connected with the HDTV but they showed only Blue ray movies T_T!

the HDMI cable alows you to connect the laptop to the lcd or plasma screen HDTV and then you can watch HD movies, play HD video games or whatever you want, enjoy.

this is a small performance table:

1: 9800GTX

2: 8800GTX

3: 9700GT

4: 8700GT

5: 9600GT

6: 8600GT.

There are better VGAs then the 9800GTX, but when it comes to laptops you will be able to choose from that list. All of them are good for gaming. you cant compare PC VGAs with Notebook VGAs, a 9800M GT is like a 9600GT of a normal PC.

not that much, the difference is only in the chip clock speed. The performance is almost the same.
