How did u get your bass to sound so muffeled, and did you use a seperate mic for your bass drum cuz it sounds incredible

@in4r3d I'm using a 20" kick drum with 2, 4" sound holes cut in the back of the head. It's naturally "punchy" because of that and I'm using an Evans Emad kick pillow to muffle the front head. There is a separate mic on the kick drum.

ive been a drummer, for 15 years, that was an epic performance. one of the most dead on pieces ive seen played, if i had 2 criticized... between the fill in 3:30 and something like 4 min, that section, but honestly that was awesome.. this is such a difficult piece, many people dont really know how hard this song is, its up their with some of travis's best performances. but very well done i really enjoyed watching that!!!!!
