Thank you for your post. The TMK is available in uniform shops throughout the United States, Canada, Panama, Switzerland and soon to be available in Australia.
The TMK can be purchased at: thetmk.com where a store directory can also be found.
I couldn't agree more. If you can get a representative from the Houston PD communications division to contact me regarding testing and evaluation, I will send you a free TMK.
great development, and its great to see it was an invention from a patrol officer who know what works and what doesnt. im going to the uniform shop tomorrow to ask for this by name. 5/5
I have not heard of the Icon radio mic. Im am always looking to improve theTMK and expanding my market place. The TMK is available on Ebay. Also, if you can get your local uniform shop to add to your inventory I will send you yours plus one for free.
Thank you for your interest and as always....Stay Safe.
I have researched the Icom mic but have not been able to get any specs. regarding the clip on the back. However, I recently spoke with a fire dept. employee out here who lives in Australia and he said that they are very similar to the Motorola mic. and should work just fine.
Also, he informed me that there are not many uniform shops and most of your equipment is assigned to you. Do you know who I could contact in that regard so that I could arrange testing for them?
I am glad that you like the idea. Please visit your local uniform shop and ask for it by name. If they add it to their inventory I will send you yours plus an extra for free.
As you will see by the testimonial page, it really works. We are happy to help our friends in the NYPD! Be Safe brother.

I've been getting tired of my mic falling off during foot pursuits. This looks like a great solution.

You are correct. It is exactly the same as the original fire dept. badge. We have a new "LAPD style" badge now but I prefer the older style.
