Todd, you brought the house down. What you exprienced is something that all of us drummers experience. The only thing I wanna say is... if you didn't stop after the first "flub" nobody would have known. Sure, it might have been a timing issue but is was recoverable without notice, which I'm sure you know as you look back.

it wasnt on his thighs, he had it on a stand or chair next to the kit and it fell off

It was on the chair behind him I think... Still dont understand how it would fall though!
But anyone know what song he was playing? Ill assume One With Everything...? Cause it has those 'fills,' but still I dont know...
