I am from Mongolia. This meal type and any other Mongolian BBQ things everywhere in the west is absolutely fake thing. Just ask anyone who visited Mongolia and verify my claim!!

I'm not from Mongolia, but hell Mongolians don't even stir fry in the first place! this cooking technique comes from Japanese tapenyaki! i guess they got tired of using the world "Chinese", and decided to use "Mongolian BBQ" instead! if you google search. u ACTUALLY have to type in "TRADITIONAL Mongolian food" in the search bar to get authentic results.
ive seen REAL Mongolian cooking and this isnt it. not even close.
